  • Cosy wooden cabins at a Puglia vineyard five mins' drive from Ordona
  • Herdonia Archaeological Site five minutes' drive; Foggia 25 minutes
  • Dog-friendly site with lovely views across the vines
You’ll get a real sense of your rural Puglia setting when you stay at Arkènos – this small glamping site five minutes' drive from Ordona is part of a family-run vineyard where you’ll look out over the Nero di Troia vines to the fields beyond. Everything here speaks of the setting, with the cabin accommodation designed to make use of lots of natural wood and allow guests to enjoy the gorgeous views and the peaceful surroundings. It’s a place where you can really slow down for a bit, reconnect with nature, breathe the fresh air and perhaps tap in to your creative side. Depending on when you stay, you may find that there are events to join in with on site – outdoor yoga, craft workshops or dinner among the vines, perhaps. You can also ask to book massages if you need some help getting into relaxation mode. If you prefer your relaxation to be out and about, you’ll be pleased to know there are plenty of wineries to visit nearby, plus historic attractions like the Herdonia Archaeological Site. Foggia and Troia are close by for urban wanders, and you can get to the beach with about 40 minutes’ drive. Back at base, you’ll be staying in sturdy wooden houses that sleep up to four and are kitted out with everything you need for a comfy stay, including a double bed up on the mezzanine, a well-equipped kitchenette, a cosy living area with a sofa bed and a bathroom with shower. There’s also an outdoor table and chairs – just the spot for your evening drinks overlooking the vines.
