Guests rave about stunning Lake Orta views and friendly staff. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings and good-sized pitches noted. Pool's a plus, but sanitary facilities are dated with shower timer/seat issues. Access road is tough, and no shuttle as advertised disappointed some.

Liked Lovely situation with a view out over the lake. Very peaceful overnight. Very friendly hosts. Everything very clean. End of season so some things shut. There are a couple of restaurants just up the road.

Disliked Hill from the main road to the campsite could be a challenge for long or towing vehicles. Access to some of the pitches very tight. Water in the showers got to slightly warm at the most.

Good site with a great view but there is NO shuttle bus so beware!

Liked The location of this campsite is not for the faint hearted as the mountainous road to reach it is challenging and we were extremely disappointed to learn that there is NO shuttle bus service provided ( as advertised by Pitch Up) The walk downhill is very steep and would be impossible for anyone with mobility issues. Our pitch was a good size and we had shade. The ‘sanitaires’ were outdated but clean and it was helpful having a washing machine. Staff were helpful and friendly The pool was a bonus!

Disliked The steep climb to reach the site and the mosquitoes !

Liked Couldn’t fault the site at all Paolo and his team are amazing made us so welcome even gave us a lift into the town and back . We visited the local restaurant on Paolo’s recommendation glad we did best Italian food we’ve eaten in a long time. Couldn’t recommend camping Royal enough

Disliked Bit of a twisty road especially as we had a very long Motorhome but well worth a few minutes stress

Liked La piazzola abbastanza grande con colonnina integrata, gli alberi che circondano la piazzola oltre a mantenere la giusta ombreggiatura rendono il luogo intimo.la vista sul lago e la montagna è veramente unica.personale cordiale e professionale.

Disliked La strada per arrivare,in certi punti è davvero impegnativa, la durata della doccia a gettoni si potrebbe migliorare,la presenza di un bottone da premere per avere l'acqua calda per lavare le stoviglie,sarebbe meglio installare un rubinetto con sensori per dosare meglio l acqua e ridurre ulteriormente sprechi.

Liked Der Inhaber ist sehr freundlich. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Stellplatz mit Sicht zum Lago di Orta.Der Pool ist klein aber sehr gepflegt. Brötchenservice und kleiner Shop. Toll zum Wandern und total unkompliziert mit unseren zwei Hunden. Würden sofort wieder dort buchen. Ein Punkt Abzug für den Sanitärbereich der sehr veraltet, jedoch immer sehr sauber war.

This is certainly an area for scenic and serene sightseeing, so pack a picnic and take the car to regional highlights like Lake Maggiore and access to its three islands; the Ossola valleys, for walks in a wildlife haven, and Mottarone, the mountain between the Orta and Maggiore lakes with spectacular views from its peak.
