The name takes its inspiration from the Greek name for the sun, and Heliopolis Camping & Village is certainly a place where you can make the most of those magical summer days. Less than five minutes' walk from the beach of Pineto and the Adriatic Sea, this site in Italy’s Abruzzo has the magic knack of combining peace and nature with a metropolitan spread of family-friendly stuff. A day at Heliopolis Camping & Village might start with ambling over to the restaurant for coffee and croissants, or picking up supplies for the day at the mini-market. Maybe you’ll be hiring bikes from the site to explore the coastal path or taking it easy by hitting the beach. There are activities laid on for kids throughout the summer, and when they’re not busy with their new best friends, they’ll be clambering about at the playground or battling it out on the table football and ping-pong tables. Older guests needn’t feel overlooked: from fitness sessions to dances, there’s something on site for everyone and in the evenings you can all get together for family entertainments. Pitches are well-equipped, many w/ private baths/kitchenettes. Staff, food, & pool get high marks. Beach locale is a win. Downsides: train noise, dated/poorly kept facilities, spotty Wi-Fi, and small pitches.

Liked Comodo per il mare e anche per avere in piazzola il bagno, con lavandino per cucinare.

Disliked Pochissima pulizia, in generale, spiaggia gestita male, lettini tutti rotti, personale non si vede girare per le piazzole quindi ognuno fa quello che vuole. Il tappeto verde in piazzola pessima soluzione.

Liked Private bathroom and sink was fantastic also the shady area to park under ( if you wanted to).Staff were exceptionally helpful and couldn't do enough, bar restaurant and pool were great although it was not very busy, which suited us.the shop could have been open saved a walk into town.

Disliked nothing to dislike .

Liked Scelto da una ricerca per fare la prima nostra esperienza in tenda con bambino piccolo subito allietati dal fatto che ogni piazzola ha il suo bagno e cucina privata , ben ombreggiato grazie alla tettoia e alle siepi di separazione. All’interno i servizi sono ottimi market ben rifornito e piscina gratuita ! Ristorante e pizzeria all’interno ottimo grazie anche allo chef e prezzi giusti !
Animazione per grandi e piccini di livello veramente eccezionale .
Il campeggio termina con una spiaggia sia libera che ombrelloni e sdraie prenotabili in direzione a prezzi veramente molto vantaggiosi , la spiaggia è bellissima per bambini sabbia nella parte superiore e sassi sul mare ! Come piace a noi .

Local attractions

For a quick intro to the local area, you could hike an hour down the coast, or drive 10 minutes to La Torre di Cerrano, a sea-facing watchtower dating back to the 16th century. It’s thought that the ancient port of Hadria lies somewhere underneath the waters here; today, like the dunes and pine forests around the tower, they’re full of protected wildlife. Inland, it’s a 20-minute drive to hilltop Atri, a settlement since Iron Age times with a Roman cemetery and a pair of good museums explaining the town’s Etruscan past. Just outside, the Calanchi di Atri Regional Nature Reserve is an unusual landscape of peaks and cones where hikers share the high spaces with snakes, scops owls, kestrels and falcons.
