Camping Les Grillons is in the commune of Embrun, which borders Serre Ponçon lake in the Hautes-Alpes, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in the south of France.

The area sees over 300 days of sunshine a year and combines a Mediterranean climate with mountain air. Both Écrins National Park and the Queyras Regional Nature Park are nearby for activities and wildlife watching.

Local attractions

Mountain and watersports activities are popular in the area around the site. Kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakesurfing, wakeboarding, jetskiing and boating are all available on the lake, and fishing, rafting and kayaking at the Durance, Ubaye, Guil and other rivers and rapids.

Climbing sites, via ferrata, paragliding and summer activities run by the ski resorts are also nearby, along with skiing and other winter sports in the colder months. Cyclists can tackle the many mountain passes such as Galibier, Izoard, Lauteret and Bonnette.

Écrins National Park and its surroundings massifs have spectacular scenery, varied wildlife and plenty of trekking trails.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the terms and conditions.

Changes to your holiday
Bookings cannot be amended within 30 day(s) of arrival.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Hired accommodation
Hired accommodation: €395.00 ($439.62) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of €45.00 ($50.74) will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via
The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

Only park guests are authorized to use the pool.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 05/12 and 09/10 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. between 05/12 and 09/10.

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited.

You must follow management instructions when setting up your tent/rig and related equipment.

No vehicle movement between 10:30 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked at the site. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a camper, trailer tent or tent. Cars are not permitted when travelling with a motorhome/RV.

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
