What customers say

This well-located site offers spacious, private spots & a friendly vibe, steps from Albert's center. Guests love the helpful staff, peaceful setting, & WWI site access. Facilities are clean but some find them dated and lacking toilet paper. Great for exploring the Somme.

Liked Plots. Reasonable size

Disliked Toilet facilities need updating- they are reasonably clean but old fashioned and basic. The tap on the basin in the toilet area didn’t work. At least two of the toilet seats were broken
The office wasn’t open- it would have helped if there had been a notice on it about where the lady could be found

Liked Nice quite site with grass pitches, great location close to town with pubs and shops. Good location to visit world war one battle sites.

Liked Nice location, good services. Even for only one night, our staying there was so peaceful and quiet.
Easy to access it, located into a pitoresque area, we would have liked to have stayed longer.
Also, they have many means for entertainment (like table tennis, pool table)

Disliked The smell the second day was horrific. Of course, is not the site's fault, but literarelly, you really needed to run out of there.

Liked Easy access into town and close to airport for entry to Airshow.
Could do with an update all round

Disliked Access to pitches obstructed by very low overhanging tree branches. Will damage caravans and motorhomes.
Strange that showers were closed of from 10 in the evening until 7 in the morning.

Local attractions

Set the scene for a tour of the Somme battlefields with a visit to the Musée Somme 1916 (10 minutes’ walk) in Albert, with informative subterranean displays of weapons and military uniforms as well as recreations of the wartime trenches. From there, you are within easy reach of the Thiepval Memorial (10 minutes’ drive), Pozières Memorial and Cemetery (five minutes) and the carefully tended ranks of graves in Caterpillar Valley Cemetery (15 minutes). Historic Arras (40 minutes) has plenty of WWI memorials too, evident when you visit the Carrière Wellington, a network of tunnels dug from medieval chalk quarries by the Allies. Going further back in time, it’s also worth stopping by the sprawling, star-shaped Citadelle d’Arras, built by military architect Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban in 1672. If you’re travelling with kids, head for lively Amiens (35 minutes) to see big cats and red pandas at the Zoo d’Amiens Métropole, visit the Jules Verne House – former home of the madcap sci-fi writer – and climb to the top of the landmark Beffroi d’Amiens for views over city rooftops.
