What customers say

Great spot near the Somme with spacious, private sites. Staff are super friendly. Facilities are generally clean, though some mention the loos/showers could do with a spruce-up. Nice snack bar and communal areas. Just a heads-up, there might be no loo roll and the dishwashing water can be a bit iffy.

Liked For a one night stay perfect, very clean but old sanitair. We think the environmet is green and nice but we couldn’t enjoy because of our one night stay. Restaurants and bakery in center Albert

Disliked The dog barking al the time also at night, not able to do the dishes only washing area. Need some upgrading. No light at wc (sensor is not working). Small camping places 7x8. At arrival at the reception the doorbell wasn t good enough for understanding it should ve better if there was a sign telling us to go to the restaurant. An upgrade for the entrance including little shop and breadservice would be amazing!!!

Liked Convenient location. Excellent park adjacent.

Disliked Most of the toilets had neither seats nor lids. 3 of the 4 water taps adjacent to our pitch leaked. Pitches were generally small and it seemed that as many campers as possible were packed into the site.

Local attractions

Set the scene for a tour of the Somme battlefields with a visit to the Musée Somme 1916 (10 minutes’ walk) in Albert, with informative subterranean displays of weapons and military uniforms as well as recreations of the wartime trenches. From there, you are within easy reach of the Thiepval Memorial (10 minutes’ drive), Pozières Memorial and Cemetery (five minutes) and the carefully tended ranks of graves in Caterpillar Valley Cemetery (15 minutes). Historic Arras (40 minutes) has plenty of WWI memorials too, evident when you visit the Carrière Wellington, a network of tunnels dug from medieval chalk quarries by the Allies. Going further back in time, it’s also worth stopping by the sprawling, star-shaped Citadelle d’Arras, built by military architect Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban in 1672. If you’re travelling with kids, head for lively Amiens (35 minutes) to see big cats and red pandas at the Zoo d’Amiens Métropole, visit the Jules Verne House – former home of the madcap sci-fi writer – and climb to the top of the landmark Beffroi d’Amiens for views over city rooftops.
