Jean Marie, Tina and the team at Camping Les Eychecadous in the Ariège department reckon their abode's got everything covered for French holidays of all sorts. And how right they are: this lush and peaceful small family site half a kilometre from Artigat is set up for short breaks and longer hols, in a safe and friendly setting with plenty of stuff to do – or with plenty of space for idling should that be your holiday thing…
Your options on site include fishing in the river or basking gently in sunshine on its banks, having an energetic dip or lazy float in the handsome pool while the kids splash in the paddling pool, or joining in with pétanque in the early evening. You could also find your own green and serene spot to settle down at for the afternoon, preferably with picnic supplies from the site shop, the fresh fruit and veg sold on site by local merchants on summer Sundays, or the tasty treats available from the butcher calling on Wednesdays throughout the year.
Camping Les Eychecadous is a traditional family place with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, where the owners are on site 24 hours a day to ensure all goes swimmingly for guests and to help with tips and info on local activities and attractions. Jean Marie and Tina also arrange communal meals a couple of times a week in high season; on other days, guests can sizzle up dinner at the communal barbecue area, or have a fresh homemade meal on the scenic terrace of the site restaurant. Ice creams and cold drinks are also available.
The immaculate amenities include toilets, free hot showers and facilities for disabled guests.
