We're reasonably certain that a site at the centre of the three magnifique regions of Jura, Vosges and Alsace will have quite a lot to do around it in the manner of outdoor options. And so c'est vrai, for Camping du Bois de Reveuge in the Doubs department's Huanne-Montmartin commune has a wide variety of outdoor activities in the area, and a lake nearby where guests can go canoeing, boating, swimming and fishing. There's quite a lot to do on site too, such as a waterpark with slides, indoor and outdoor pools and a paddling pool, a fitness room, a play area and a games room with gogglebox. The team also lays on daytime activities like tennis, archery, rifle shooting and a kids' club, while evening entertainment is organised during the summer. Camping du Bois de Reveuge also has a restaurant, a food shop and an amenities block with hot showers.

Local attractions

Get into the outdoors in the Doubs department and the several hiking trails, caves, castles in the area around Camping du Bois de Reveuge and in the spectacularly scenic Doubs river valley. Also within easy access, Parc Dino-Zoo near Charbonnières-les-Sapins is a dinosaur-themed park smashingly set up for younger holidaymakers. The regional capital Besançon is worth at least a day, to see its UNESCO World Heritage Site citadel and its Old Town, alongside its Fine Arts museum with its exhibits of archaeology and mosaics. Also in town, soak up the sun with a picnic at Parc Micaud.
