Liked: Lovely sized pitch which was perfectly level. Clean toilet block and washing up area and loved the mixed changing so we could shower the children together. Showers were lovely and hot. The site felt really safe with the main gates closed over night (access via code). I felt happy letting the children (5&8) have a little independence. Perfect for adventurous little ones, we are regular visitors to Llys-Y-Fran but this was our first time camping and it was excellent having access to the pump track and park “out of hours” when it was much quieter. The kids loved the pancakes in the cafe and the staff are so lovely and friendly. Plenty of mobile service so can’t comment on WiFi (hence half stars)
Disliked: No camp fires allowed but we understand and respect the prohibition.

Liked: The small campsite is in a very picturesque location close to the lake with a selection of pitch types. Showers/toilets were situated in the Activity Centre close by and were clean and accesible day and night. Plenty of walking and activities on and around the lake, plus lovely cafe and shop, all managed by very helpful and friendly staff. We booked Self Launch with our paddleboards and had a fabulous paddle around the beautiful lake, discreetly supervised by the safety boat. Would also highly recommend the walks around the lake.

Liked: I had an electric pitch which was flat and level and an easy walk to the showers, which were the best showers I’ve been to in a campsite!
The views were amazing and there was so much to do and explore!
Disliked: The toilets were clean and tidy, there just needed to be more of them - especially on a busy weekend

Liked: Lovely area, nice set up, great little restaurant on site.
Big pitchs.
Welcoming place and helpful staff.
Nice clean shower/toilet area. Posh for a campsite.
Disliked: Can't park your car on the pitch with the van, or a vehicle and tent together unless it's an awning. Didn't make much sense. It's a 6 metre ruling.
Also the restaurant food finishes by 3 and drinks/brews by 5pm.

From the manager: Thank you for your great feedback.
We totally understand that the 6 meter ruling can be frustrating, we are restricted by our campsite licence which we have to adhere to.
We hope this didn't effect your stay too much and hope to welcome you again in the future.
