Great activities- we hired bikes for 3 hours and went round the reservoir and did the bike trails, lots of fun.
Quiet mornings, which was great.
Relaxed evenings which was good.
Clean site,
Great location. Easy drive to the coastal.

Non mi è piaciuto Not enough toilets or showers, 3 of each which isn't enough for the amount of campers on site, so I just went at quiet times like early morning or late at night.
Cafe should be open for longer would be nice to have it open at tea time.
Somewhere to purchase drinks or foods after 3pm.
No discount for campers for the activities.
Could do with washing machine.
More wash up areas as only currently have 2 sinks to use which can be a nightmare at busier times.

Mi è piaciuto I really liked the layout of the pitches. The road layout is great with a one way system but cars still ignore it.
The location is unrivalled with some great views.
The bin area is good but a lot of campers didn't segregate their waste.

Non mi è piaciuto The campsite has been built without any dedicated toilets, showers or washing facilities. This is wholly inappropriate.
Campers have to use the bathrooms in the activity centre that are designed for an activity centre and not for camping.
Lets detail specifics:
There are only three male toilets and no urinals. There are 49 pitches so the ratio is unhygienic. Stale and fresh urine covered the male toilets. Nobody seemed to know what a toilet brush was for. The toilets are cleaned but not regularly enough for the volume of use. Remember they are also being used by the day visitors participating in activities.
In the male toilets the sink is a trough design with three taps. No privacy exists.
How can you wash your hands having been to the toilet if they are being used by one family to clean their teeth. The Covid days are a distant memory. These sinks are only designed for hand washing. No consideration has been given to tooth brushing, shaving etc. The small children could not reach and so spat toothpaste everywhere. It would be very embarrassing if you wanted to remove a denture. The sinks are right next to the toilets so you may not find it very pleasant to clean your teeth with the smell and noise of defecation.
On four occasions I found the taps left running in the toilets.
The showers are numerous with a good flow of hot water but no privacy exists for changing. You have to walk through the activity centre in your pyjamas.
A dedicated hut has been built but only has two kitchen sinks for 49 pitches worth of pots and pans etc.

Mi è piaciuto The area was beautiful and the facilities were very good. The children liked the bike track and the park.

Non mi è piaciuto On the first night we were asked to be quiet and turn the music off at 22:00 and then asked to go back to our tents at 23:15. On the second night we were given the option of going to a different field to enjoy ourselves and have fun of which we took the opportunity. The warden came over and said how lovely the area was as we put up some fairy lights and the kids were enjoying running around the field. The adults had some music on and were enjoying a sing song again only to be told at 23:00 we had to go back to our tents. This was very disappointing as we could hear music and singing coming from 2 fields away in the Meadows were it seemed they were allowed to have fun.

We didn't expect to be out patying until early hours as we had our children with us who were mostly under 9 years old.

We also had a breakfast in the cafe and my wife had the vegetarian option only to find a hair in the sausage. We were told that they would inform the chef and nothing after that. No shall we make you another or do you want your money back, again very disappointing.

To sum up a beautiful campsite and location but not if you want any fun past 22:00.

Mi è piaciuto The site is in a beautiful setting with easy access to lots of activities and the visitors centre. We went as a small group with our kids and didn't have to leave the site. So much to do. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great piches, shower/toilet block very good.
Excellent setup for the bikes which we rode everyday. Thoroughly enjoyed the trails which increased the workout/milage around the lake to around 8.5 miles and was free to use, perfect 👌

Non mi è piaciuto Didn't bother using the lake even though we had taken our daughters SUPB it was far too organised/structured having to pre book launce times and additional board hire to get out on the lake.
We took a boat ride over to Skomer instead and if we were that keen to use our boards we would have gone to a free lake or the seaside at our chosen time. When you are on holiday you like the freedom to do things to suit yourselves 🤣😅🙈

It has 8 Electric car charging stations which took the stress out of where to recharge for the journey home

Mi è piaciuto The facilities are ok but no good if your a single parent to more than one child. The bike ramps were a hit with the kids.

Non mi è piaciuto Unfortunately our experience was ruined by the curfew and unwelcoming warden. The atmosphere felt as tho we were being monitored rather than enjoying a chilled weekend. Being told to go to bed at 9am to stick to the rules but having kids screaming and running around at 5:45am was ok and not being monitored by the warden.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely location, helpful, friendly staff. Each level pitch has a power & water point, with a light. Lovely hot showers with no restrictions on water flow. Great site for families with lots of activities you can book and the free bike parks/trails that kids really enjoyed. Bring a bike or hire on site.

Non mi è piaciuto Pitches are a bit tight and quite close together. Hardstanding pitches need rock pegs and a drill hammer ideally. The pitch lights are on all through the night which is wasteful and impacts on wildlife and kept the kids awake. Toilet facilities for the whole site are a bit meagre. Only 3 cubicles each gender. Same with shower rooms only 3 per gender. Toilets and showers are not well sign-posted and a bit difficult to find. Toilets not cleaned frequently enough for the number of families that were onsite. No policing on the "quiet time". Some very noisy groups until 1am.
