  • Small and peaceful family-run site in Carmarthenshire countryside
  • Carmarthen, Castell Dryslwyn and a heritage railway 20 minutes’ drive
  • Set among 32 acres of woodland with a fly fishery and cosy café
Set in Carmarthenshire countryside, family-run Garnffrwd Park is a small and peaceful woodland site in 32 acres of gorgeous Welsh scenery, with a fly fishery and a café with views over the fishing lake from its terraces. Quiet it may be, but it’s only 10 minutes’ drive from the A48, giving you easy access into the local area for all sorts of days out. Modern toilet and shower facilities, waste disposal and fresh water are just a short walk from the pitches. There’s an abundance of countryside walks direct from the site for when you and your canine chums need a quick stretch of the legs, as well as dog-friendly beaches at Llansteffan and Burry Port (both half an hour in the car). Lakeview Café is open Wednesday to Saturday, and you also have the option of several local pubs offering home-cooked food and Welsh ales within 15 minutes’ drive. The site is also 20 minutes’ drive from Carmarthen, its castle, coffee shops, restaurants and indie shops.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Beautiful lake
Friendly and helpful owners
Peaceful pitch
Fab cafe overlooking lake on site
Clean amenities and big shower room (£1 shower token lasts 10 mins)
Level pitch

Disliked It was fine for us as we had a porta potty, but would've been a bit of a trek to the toilet otherwise. Just an observation.
