This popular, well-kept campsite in a country park offers peaceful stays with beautiful scenery. Guests rave about spacious, level pitches & excellent, clean restrooms, especially the disabled facilities. Enjoy the on-site cafe & direct park access. Family-friendly with a great playground & bike park. Minor points: occasional bin issues & varied cleaning frequency.

We thought the site was fine as a pit stop, 1-2 nights.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked The pitch itself was fine, no issues, easy electric connection. The showers were a very good size, great for families with good water pressure.
Disliked The smell coming from the toilet block/bins. We had to move pitch to get away from it. The toilets also were also never really fully clean, even after being cleaned. There was only one toilet in the womens with a sanitary bin. There were no real views or anything at the pitch but that isn't really the sites fault. We only stayed for 2 nights so it was fine but wouldn't stay any longer.

Liked Lovely clean and quiet campsite, choose your own pitch, brilliant countryside location but right on the town doorstep, there is a fantastic little cafe onsite, amenities are clean and tidy, good showers and waste facilities.
Fantastic for walking, mountain biking, also stables nearby if you want horse riding, this was a last minute selection for us and we will be going back I can assure you
Disliked No fully serviced pitches, but that's not the end of the world.

New management expected.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked The cafe had great service.
Toilets clean
Disliked At the time we visited, the site was in a transitional phase regarding management.
We could not access the site because we did not receive the access codes in time to gain entry. There were locks and codes to gates and shower block respectively si could not use these facilities.
We finally spent the night in the car park which was empty.
The ranger we spoke to was polite and apologetic. He explained the situation regarding staffing.
