What customers say
This eco-camp offers spacious sites with rural sea views & beach access. Guests rave about friendly hosts, a peaceful vibe, and nature. Basic, maintained facilities (compost toilets, hot showers). Great for a relaxed, nature trip. Track can be bumpy; minor facility issues sometimes arose but were handled by management.

Lovely site, great for families Toilets could be kept cleaner
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Beautiful well kept site , lots of space and walks to the beach
Also a lovely walled garden serving coffee and cake
Disliked We visited this site last year and the compost toilets where kept clean with buckets of wood shavings in each toilet
This year we found them quite smelly and grubby with just 1 bucket of shavings out left outside so I don’t think most people bothered to put them down, leaving the toilets smelly and unsightly

From the manager: Hi, Thank you so much for visiting again! We had a lot of trouble this year with people throwing the entire buckets of woodchip down the toilets, sometimes multiple times per day, not only a waste of resources but also causing the toilets to fill up super fast. We will bring back the bucket system though, we just need to work out how to better implement it! Thank you for the feedback.
100% will go back to this place! Amazing views, lovely campsite, quiet

Very enjoyable, relaxing stay
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We loved the layout and location of the campsite, not too far to walk to beautiful Church Bay.
The compostable toilets and showers were well maintained and accessible.
Disliked We were disappointed that the little newly opened cafe had no vegan option, particularly given this is a sustainable campsite. However I appreciate that the cafe has just got going, so perhaps this is something that can be adapted easily enough.

Won’t be going back.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The space
Disliked Unfortunately composting toilets were in desperate need of emptying. Lack of washing facilities there was one sink for toilet use and dish wash. Not great when trying to wash the dishes and 4 people queuing to wash their hands. It’s an easy fix maybe build a dish wash block that’s covered wouldn’t take much.

From the manager: Hi, Im so sorry this was your experience, we have 3 toilet blocks and check them twice daily. I can only think this may have been one toilet just before emptying. We are building new washing up stations for 2027, currently theres two, theres separate taps a few metres away for hand-washing, however people do often use the wrong sinks. There will be better signage with the new sinks too. x
A wonderful eco-site which I will certainly be coming back to.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Wonderful, peaceful location, and eco-feel.
Disliked The washing up facilities in the area opposite the entrance are extremely basic and in need of some repair. The sink seems to be tottering on some stones and just makes washing up rather difficult. I know it's an eco site, but with some minor modifications, it could be much more usable.

Liked nice views

From the manager: Hi, This is either a really unfair review or a mistake!
We try really hard to make the site a relaxed, inclusive and safe space, on a beautiful site, with amazing views over the island and sea.
We also have reception open 6-8pm every day in August, and if there had been a problem then we would have loved to have heard about it so that we could put it right.
We have a great many 10/10 reviews for a reason, and the reasons are stated as to why.
