Понравилось Beautiful open space, sea views, very natural feeling, loads of space with plenty to explore close by. The walles garden pizza night was lovely, with music and lovely lighting. Clean toilets and showers. Such great value, we'll be back!

Не понравилось A boy/ teenager defecating in the bushes in the campsite with his toilet rolll. Rubbish piling up and overflowing the bins by the entrance.
No soap or properly set up washing facilities.
Unusable washing facilities for dishes, pans etc

От менеджера: Oh my gosh this is awful, I wish you had reached out to us at the time, I am contactable 24/7 with my number on the notice boards. This is not acceptable. Theres obviously different people on site all the time, we have wonderful customers and hope that everybody treats each other, and the environment with kindness and respect. If we had been alerted of this incident we would have asked the person to leave immediately.

Im unsure what was unusable with the washing facilities, they are basic but theres a sink for dish washing. Also a tap next to the toilet for hand washing.

So sorry again for your experience.

Понравилось Peaceful, beautiful and spacious site with great views of the sea and surrounding area. Well kept and not crowded - there's a minimum of 8m between pitches asked for. Our kids had plenty of room to run around and play. Ethos of minimum impact on environment. It's a 'make your own fun' and enjoy the surroundings type of place rather than playgrounds and parks which suited us just fine.

Не понравилось It's a basic no frills site which we knew with composting toilets and 'warmish' showers. Not a big deal for us but if you're expecting full facilities this is probably not for you. The bins were also a good distance away and unfortunately overflowing with rubbish.

Понравилось Nice location with good walks to the beach and pub. Lovely views, very quiet site.

Не понравилось I appreciate the description says they have compost toilets but that really was not our kind of thing at all. One didn't lock, one was full of boxes so the other two were busy and quite 'full'.... one with no cup for the sawdust. One sink and no soap.
We didn't use the showers because again, not for us to shower in a plastic dome full of other people's rubbish.
Also, very few actual flat pitches.
The bins are at the entrance and were so full there was rubbish everywhere. We paid for two nights but left after the first night.
Appreciate maybe this is what some people are looking for but definitely not for us.

Im so sorry the site wasn't for you, im glad you enjoyed the peace and views though. Compost toilets arent for everyone but we do our best to make it a good experience for people, and its the best option for the world around us.
Apologies the toilet with boxes in, should have been locked the middle toilet is a store, its full of toilet rolls so people dont run out. We must have not locked it after topping up.
The cup missing from the sawdust is annoying, a handful does a great job. Kids sometimes throw the cups down, we are replacing as we go and asking kids not to do so!
The showers lots of people think they are genius but they arent typical showers, sometimes people leave empty products behind. We clean them daily but not after each person so sorry they had things in for you.
Recycling bins on the entrance are emptied each week by Veiola- we are having a tough time with this at the moment, as we have ample bins however on a couple of occasions people seem to have put gazebos, tents, airbeds into the rubbish filling so much space. Its heart breaking what some people throw away.
We are doing our best, and appreciate the feedback.

Не понравилось Appreciate the eco-credentials of the place but believe that should not be used as an opportunity for providing sub-standard basic amenities.

Having motion sensetive/solar/photocell type lights in toilets so you dont have to go into pitch dark toilets would be helpfull.

Also noting the showers on site people had previously complained that the wooden decking inside had come very moss covered/slippery/rotten and reading your reviews on site it was stated by the propriators that they would be replacing redy for this summer. It was evident on our visit in August that these had not been done and were actulally a number of years old.

These things meant that our children were not comfortable using the toilet or shower alone which I belive they should be able to do.

I belive it would be very possible to provide these upgrades in a very cost effective way to provide the impression to guests that there was a motivation to provide a more pleasant experience for guests.

The shower floors were done in May, maybe we need to replace a couple more- we ll check today and pressure washing is due today too.

Понравилось Location location location! Fantastic campsite, clean, good facilities - water, compost toilets, warm showers. Close to Church Bay beach. Campfires allowed. Loads of space, beautiful scenery, trees and sea views. Other campers friendly and polite. Quiet at night. Amazing star gazing, shooting stars galore. Two tents, four women, a teenager and three kids. 2nd year and will be coming again next year thank you for a lovely weekend.

Понравилось Beautiful eco friendly site set in the countryside with stunning sea views. Fantastic walks down to the beach. Our 4 children loved it, lots of other children to play with and the forest school that was hosting various activities while we there. (Potion making, slime making, tie dying). Simple site in the best way, pitch where you like, plenty of space. Everyone helping run the place was super friendly and helpful. You can hire fire pits and buy wood. Compost toilets and solar showers that are well maintained.
Starry skies at night are phenomenal. Will definitely return soon.

Понравилось Spacious eco friendly campsite with space to roam and explore.
Sunset views are incredible, go up to the ruins to watch it on a clear evening!
Customer service was good and we were able to freeze our ice blocks for our cooler which was ideal.
A kind fellow camper(s) put our belongings back after the wind blew down our tent whilst we were out which was excellent - shout out to them.
I’d say that the site is great for those looking to experience eco friendly living with kids, it’s a great learning adventure for them. Loads of space to run, play and explore.

Не понравилось One night was incredibly windy, which is obviously out of the control of the campsite owners and operators, but just a heads up, pick your spot wisely.
Honestly the composting toilets aren’t as bad as you would expect. Showers on the other hand were cold but really, it wasn’t that much of a big deal for me and the rest of my camping party said that their showers were hot so maybe I drew the short straw.
Road to enter the site is a bit bumpy but there seems to be alternative tracks on the grass, watch out for the sheep though 🐑✨
