Orchard primitive grass tent campsite (wild)
Liked: Campsite was beautiful! So peaceful and with dedicated pitches your soace is mever intruded, we had the whole orchard site pretty much to ourselves it was bliss, views are amazing in the mornings. Facilities are perfect, a little walk away from your site but its not a problem at all, gives a good excuse to explore the site. The contactless check in is very nice as it allows you to fully disconnect from any public interaction if you so wish, highly recommend this campsite
Disliked: There was a few midges in evenings but thats no fault of the owner so no negative points there, just make sure if weather is warm to bring some bug spray or a face net

Empress shepherd's hut
Liked: Lovely site, the Empress glamping was well set up and the mattress so comfortable. Thoughtful gifts for us and the dog, good quality pans and plates etc. and the outside seating area was spacious. Site had lots of facilities for recycling and so many little touches that would make a longer stay really comfortable.
Disliked: Seat pad cushions for the bench seats at the inside table would make it a bit more comfy.

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass campervan campsite
Liked: Just a few Small pretty flat Touring pitches (the Panorama ones are bigger, and views over the communal picnic area and Esturary). Hook up might need a longish lead dependign on pitch.
Toilet & sink Facilites very close, though basic and small, shared with shepherd huts.
Nice, Steep(!) walk down throough lovely trees to the estuary path and through the basic camp fields.
You can order pastries for breakfast!
Not for really big motor homes imo, but LWB van was ok...just.
Fairly quiet - pitches back a road, but its a minor B road so not much traffic at all.
Disliked: Facilities are basic - adequate and better than some, but not top or mid tier and also small/limited. Old/tired but clean. No freezers or laundry etc i think.
showers are the other side of the owners home on the opposite end to the picthes, but not far.

From the manager: Thanks very much for your thoughtful review and recommendation!
We’re glad you found our simple washing facilities very clean and adequate. There are many more showers and loos dotted around the site for glamping and tent campers so the facilities for tourers are seldom that busy.
For those interested, there is free access to a freezer and fridge. We don’t have a laundry but there is a laundrette a couple of miles away offering service washes.
The small camper van pitches available to book on Pitch Up are ideal for vans up to 6.5 metres. We do also have a few pitches suitable for larger motorhomes up to 7.5 metres.

Stopover power optional cement/asphalt campervan campsite (no awning)
Liked: From the very moment I arrived you could tell these guys had put in every little effort into this site. I had the pleasure of the whole site and it couldn’t have been better. The showers are better than ones I have at home. The toilet bloke separate to the showers also very warm and amazing. There was also a nice area to sit under shelter not that used it but it looked very handy during a camp. The site itself is above the road can’t really hear traffic; very minimal.
Disliked: Nothing
