  • Adults-only North Wales farm site close to Snowdonia and the coast
  • Conwy, Llandudno and Adventure Parc Snowdonia 20 minutes' drive away
  • Award-winning pub five minutes' walk away
It’s a thoroughly grown-up setup at Ty Ni, a peaceful park on a Conwy county farm about 15 minutes’ drive from Colwyn Bay. This is an adults-only park that’s all about creating a quiet space for taking in the gorgeous views over the hills of North Wales (and the presence of an award-winning pub about five minutes’ walk away is a real bonus too…) This location, a short hop from both the coast and Snowdonia National Park, makes Ty Ni an excellent base for a varied break taking in all the attractions this area has to offer. Whether you’re into gardens, castles, gentle walks, adrenaline adventures or seaside days, it’s all here within easy reach… However you choose to fill your days you’ll be coming back to a well-kept site that’s not been overly developed but has all the essentials on hand, including washing-up sinks, a washing machine, ladies’ and gents’ toilets and showers, plus chemical waste/grey water facilities for tourers. You’ll spot a few eco-friendly touches too, like facilities for recycling and composting waste. Barbecues are permitted at this park if you’d like to spend an evening cooking outdoors while taking in the lovely rural views – there is a small shop on site and the option of several local village shops for additional supplies or bigger supermarkets in places like Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. As well as the excellent pub down the road there are also several more pubs and restaurants close by that are worth checking out.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked A well maintained site in a beautiful rural location with far reaching views across farmland a valley and all the way to the sea! Nervous drivers or those looking for shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep would be advised to look elsewhere but if you like being surrounded by fields, livestock and nature, you’d be hard pushed to find a better site for the money! Showers and toilets were spotless and working perfectly. There is a waste disposal area, a small shop in the back of an old horse trailer with some essentials including toiletries, eggs, charcoal etc. recycling and the warmest of welcomes. The family work the farm and were lovely and friendly along with their 2 dogs who popped round to keep an eye on us and make friends with our 2 furry friends. We will be back. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

Liked We loved everything about this site, the location, the size of the pitches, facilities and the little Jack Russell who adopted us on Sunday.. Mrs Roberts and family have a lot of projects on the go and We can't wait to be back soon.

Disliked My only niggle well suggestion would be a squeeze in the showers so that campers could give the shower a quick clean.

Liked Very basic site

Disliked It was terrible to find and rather out of the way

From the manager: Mrs Holmes sorry you felt that way about our small site your score is in the minority. I would suggest you do more research if you want a site closer to towns might not get the peace and quiet then though.

Liked Peaceful very quiet. Lovely scenery Caroline couldnt do enough for us .really happy go lucky lady .loved watching her on the tractor with her dress on (that's not something you see everyday ,and it was red hot that day .loved the chucks running about in their pen .didn't like the very narrow lanes getting there .got lost a bit ,but that's us ).great little campsite , recommended...

Disliked Just when it's windy it gets really windy .as you are a thousand feet above sea level .great if you have a kite .

Liked Great spot - not too far from Llandudno. Lovely and quiet with good facilities, including a shop (with honesty box) and a big field to walk the dog. Only a 5 minute walk to a good pub serving food. Caroline was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We'll definitely book another visit 😊

Route directions

If you are towing or driving a large motorhome, following the postcode LL22 8BE can take you down some very narrow lanes. At Abergele, turn onto the A547 first and then onto the A548. The Satnav will tell you to turn right all the time but these are narrow roads good only for campervans and smaller vehicles. If yours is longer and wider, keep to the A548 until you reach the B5113 to Colwyn Bay on the right. Carry on along the B5113 – the turning for the site is on the right just past the Holland Arms pub car park, there are signs, and the site is 250 yards on the left down the road. Please take care that you do not enter Pen y Bryn cottages by mistake. What3words location: lived.beeline.flamingo.

Local attractions

There are so many great places to get out for a walk around here, it might be tricky to know where to start. Among the top choices are the pretty village of Llanrwst (15 minutes’ drive) for a stroll to see its famous three-arched bridge, or Capel Curig (half an hour), which is a well-known hub of walking trails. For gentler strolls, plan trips to the likes of 80-acre Bodnant Garden (10 minutes), filled with formal gardens, meadows and champion trees, or check out the castles in Conwy (20 minutes) and Caernarfon (45 minutes). The colourful Italianate village of Portmeirion (55 minutes) is a popular day-trip destination, as is the seaside town of Llandudno (20 minutes) for a walk on the pier and perhaps a tour of the Penderyn distillery followed by a sip of their whisky. Up for a bit more action? Hit the waves of Adventure Parc Snowdonia (20 minutes) for the unusual experience of inland surfing or sign up for one of the adrenaline rushes at Zip World Fforest (20 minutes) – perhaps a ride on the forest coaster or a go on Europe’s highest swing?
