Gostou I liked how the site was laid out and not too regimented
We had a lovely welcome and later the bar was open for just 5 people on site and we enjoyed chatting with the owners and other guests. Gravel standings were level with electric , fresh water a few feet away.
Shower and toilets separate. X2 for ladies and gentlemen. Nice and clean and the showers were hot and powerful. Also plenty of sinks to wash and shave, well for the men anyway. Well stocked little shop and off licence.

Gostou What a wonderful site with fantastic helpful lovely owners, could not recommend this place enough!! From second we got there, Carolyn could not do enough for us and what a cracking lady so so funny, the wobbly wagon bar so cosy and cute, the animals around all come to say hi, cannot wait to go back to this lovely gem and spend more tume there 3 nights not enough!!!!

Gostou Lovely quiet little site. The owners, Carolyn and Dil, are fantastic, welcoming and present but not over the top.
Loved wandering down to the bar a couple of nights and meeting fellow campers.
Views are fantastic and there are plenty of attractions in striking distance.
Showers were hot whatever time of day and everything was clean and in good repair.

Gostou This is a lovely little site, with fantastic views, and a very quiet atmosphere. The road has little or no traffic and there is no noise intrusion. Carolyn works hard to make sure your stay is as good as it can be.

Gostou Everything . It’s such a peaceful clean site . It has everything, clean showers , honesty shop , small bar . We loved it . It’s our safe haven .

Gostou I lovey peaceful little place. The views are stunning. The lady that greeted us was very nice and polite. The toilets and showers was very clean and tidy.
The pub up the road was closed when we went but the lady did a little BBQ and you could buy a drink there.
There was a little shop with a honesty box they took card or cash on the site.
If you do go make sure you follow the instructions that you get with your booking confirmation and not your satnav as my google maps took my up very steep roads that was very narrow to, we was in a motorhome.

I do like how they do want all dogs microchipped or tattooed as you are in the country side.
They are definitely dog friendly all dogs do have to stay on a lead as there are cows,sheep and some horses in the surrounding fields but you do not hear them in the night.

Gostou Nice site, very chilled and relaxed.

Não gostou Not being able to check in until after 2pm. I like to be set up and settled by then. Lesson learnt, always read the the site descriptions properly when booking.

Also my dogs can be reactive and it wasn't help by the owner (who is lovely I might add) having her dogs running loose and the one coming up to our set up and setting them off. Obviously its her site and she can do what she wants but it wasn't ideal for us.

Be prepared for some challenging lanes. Carolyn kindly supplies alternatives to the sat nav directions but we still ended up with some white knuckle moments towing the van lol.

Just to clarify for future guests, our check-in time is clearly stated as after 2pm. We understand everyone likes to arrive and get settled at different times, but we need this time to prepare the site properly for arriving guests.

Regarding the dogs, we’re sorry that this situation wasn’t ideal for you. We are a working farm and our dogs are part of farm life, so they are sometimes around the property. We do, however, ask guests to let us know exactly how many dogs they are bringing when booking.

In this case, 5 dogs were brought onto the site, but the booking was made and paid for for 3 dogs. This is important because we need accurate information about the number of dogs staying, both for planning and for the comfort and safety of all our guests.

We appreciate that you mentioned our site is peaceful, chilled and relaxed, and that you found us welcoming. We’re sorry that some aspects of your stay didn’t suit you, and we wish you all the best with your future travels.
