Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked Large field in quiet location. No traffic noise and couldn't hear other people. Lovely view.

Disliked Last 0.3 of the road is very bad. I wouldn't suggest it in a vehicle with low ground clearance. Water is a large container in one corner. Toilets were 2 chemical loos.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked Very easy to find off of the A483, if using Google maps make sure it doesn't change Bryn Farm to Brynhir Farm!

Owner was very friendly and helpful with check-in as we arrived at 10pm, which made it all the more lovely to wake up to their beautiful piece of the countryside.

Had tonnes of space to ourselves and could forget anyone else was in the field.

The portaloos were really clean and suitable for the type of stay.

Disliked Nothing!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Great peaceful place in the middle of almost nowhere, well priced, hosts were very friendly and welcoming, lovely mountain view with a dark beautiful night of stars.
Idyllic local villages to explore and Elan Valley only just down the road was a nice little trip.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Had a lovely stay over for the night, travelling down to Builth Wells for my dog show with my 3 dogs. Most peaceful night as there is nothing around, no traffic sounds.

Disliked you know there is nothing there but portable toilets and nothing else

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We arrived to a beautiful empty field with magnificent views. I called the owner and he confirmed we had the whole 7 acre site to ourselves!
There's no restriction on pitch sizes, just park where you like.
It's a very basic site with a potable water tank at the top of the site (that you share with the sheep) and a pair of portable toilets by the gate.
It's not very level by the gate but gets better higher up. It's very quiet at night and with no ambient light nearby, it's great for stargazing.
There's lots of places to eat in nearby llandrindod wells and some amazing views locally.
