What customers say
Tranquil, private campsite in lovely woods for an eco-friendly "back to nature" getaway. Spacious pitches, clean compost toilets, hot showers, free firewood. Enjoy hammocks, river access, and friendly owners. Great for families and cyclists. Some early season signage issues noted.

Primitive grass campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked A wonderful little campsite on a working sheep farm, tucked away near Builth Wells. We stayed four nights with our trailer tent on one of the special wood-chip pitches, which suited us perfectly; plenty of space and a great spot right by the oak wood.
Great views, a proper campfire pit, and overall a wonderfully tranquil place to unwind. Facilities are minimal but well thought out, and somehow that only adds to the charm. We loved all the sheep and the birdsong too. Waking up here is something special.
The owner was genuinely welcoming; she came out to help us settle in and we ended up chatting for a good while. That personal touch makes all the difference. We’d happily come back.

This is a great little camping.…
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This is a great little camping. Very quiet, with basic but clean and well functioning toilets and showers, and some nice little extras like the extra stove we could use to heat our kettle when we had run out of gas ourselves, and some extra cooking gear. The camping owner is very friendly and helpful. No electricity whatsoever, so be prepared!

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We loved it here- it was really peaceful and spacious and we were sad not to stay longer. There’s lovely woodland for shade from the sun, benches and cover if it rains. Tania the host, was absolutely lovely, so chatty and giving of her time and facilities! There’s the beautiful river wye at the bottom of the field and I got to see a kingfisher whilst I was down there. We will definitely be back!

I appreciate the toilets are not flushable toilets they are compost so they are different but I do empty and clean them 3 times a day to make sure they are as fresh as possible but I totally understand they are not for everybody and I appreciate everyone’s opinion 😊

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked A true hidden gem! The campsite is incredibly clean, with spacious pitches that give you plenty of room to relax. Everything exceeded our expectations – the friendly hosts, excellent facilities, beautiful river access, and outstanding value for money.
One of our favourite moments was toasting marshmallows around the fire pit in the evening, which made our stay even more special. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained place to stay. We'll definitely be back!
