Fantastic views and great quiet location
Sgadan camping pod
Liked Fantastic quiet location overlooking beautiful scenery.
Sgadan is around 200 metres from the toilet and shower pod so may not be suitable for those with a weak bladder or who cannot walk far.
Quick and easy check-in and friendly service from owner Cathy over the phone with any issues.

Liked It was a lovely position right on the edge of a sea loch. Facilities were ok. Great having electricity, microwave, coolbox
Disliked The midges, oh my stars the midges. I booked for 3 nights but only stayed 1 night and then booked a Hotel in Stornoway. Rather than being in the great outdoors I was trapped inside a (very nice) really hot wooden box, completely slathered in insect repellent. Unable to open any window or door. Couldn't cook inside, couldn't go outside to cook. It was miserable. At other times of year or if it was colder or windy I would imagine it is heaven but the combination of circumstances for me was bad

Liked Private, Peaceful & exactly what was needed for a relaxing stay, no frills, just outstanding beauty all around, well located for visiting Stornoway & Harris.
Cathy was always available & really helpful, great host.
Disliked The pods which don’t have facilities are a bit of a walk from the toilets and in the lovely Hebridean weather can be a bit of a pain on an evening & night time. I’d recommend taking a camping toilet or bucket.

Liked The pod had everything we needed, it was clean and well kept. The location and the views were fabulous, so close to the standing stones and the sea loch. It was quiet and restful.
