Surrounded by the spectacular Wilshire countryside and agricultural land, peaceful Daisy’s Farm has large pitches on an ancient ridge and furrow grassy field that forms part of a three-acre smallholding growing summer fruits and vegetables. Staying here puts you within easy reach of not one, but two National Landscapes: the North Wessex Downs (15 minutes’ drive) and the Cotswolds (half an hour). Meanwhile, Swindon is a 20-minute drive on the A420, should you require shops or big-town attractions during your holiday. However, chances are you’ll be happy to soak up the natural vibes, make friends with the resident geese and explore the local woodlands with your dog, who is a welcome guest here. Perhaps you’d like to have a go at the Ridgeway, an ancient track that goes past the Neolithic remains at Wayland’s Smithy (10 minutes) and the chalk-cut White Horse at Uffington (20 minutes). Throughout the summer, the owners also run workshops on spiritual development, focusing on things like meditation and yoga – if that’s your jam, don’t forget to pack your mat. There are also evening singing sessions around the communal fire. Nearby villages and hamlets like Wanborough and Ashbury (both 10 minutes) beckon with pretty stone cottages and thatched houses… not to mention a handful of country pubs serving traditional meals and real ales, which you can savour in front of a roaring fire or in the beer garden. If you’d rather do your own cooking, barbecues are provided, and you can source your provisions in Shrivenham (five minutes) or at a well-stocked supermarket a 10-minute drive away. The site also has a toilet block, hot-water showers and a washing-up area.

Liked Lovely spot. Only stayed 1 night. Some nice countryside walks nearby, but also not far from local amenities.
Quiet while we were there.
Dog friendly.

Disliked Uneven ground could present a few issues on some of the pitches.
Entrance might be a bit tight for larger vans.

Liked Lovely open field with mostly flat pitches, quiet location and good basic amenities. Communication was excellent with the owners who were very accomodating with our late arrival!

Disliked Only one shower and toilet on site which I imagine could get busy if all ~10 pitches were full of tents.

From the manager: Hi, thanks for your review. To clarify we only have 5 tent pitches, 5 campervan pitches, so the second toilet is available if required. We are only a very small rustic type campsite, so have minimal facilities but sufficient so far :-)

Liked Lovely quiet spot in a pretty area. Nice to have marked pitches so that you know that no one will be right up next to you. It's a simple site and that's all we need and want when we're camping

Liked Perfectly peaceful stay. Haven’t camped in a tent for years as I’m a light sleeper, but I slept REALLY well. Shower was hot, toilet flushed, running tap water (drinkable). Simple but all you need. Bourton looked interesting up the hill but I didn’t have time to go explore. Hope to come back again soon.
