  • Rural Wiltshire site 15 minutes' drive from the North Wessex Downs
  • White Horse at Uffington 20 minutes’ drive; Oxford 40 minutes
  • Yoga and meditation workshops on site; barbecues provided
Surrounded by the spectacular Wilshire countryside and agricultural land, peaceful Daisy’s Farm has large pitches on an ancient ridge and furrow grassy field that forms part of a three-acre smallholding growing summer fruits and vegetables. Staying here puts you within easy reach of not one, but two National Landscapes: the North Wessex Downs (15 minutes’ drive) and the Cotswolds (half an hour). Meanwhile, Swindon is a 20-minute drive on the A420, should you require shops or big-town attractions during your holiday. However, chances are you’ll be happy to soak up the natural vibes, make friends with the resident geese and explore the local woodlands with your dog, who is a welcome guest here. Perhaps you’d like to have a go at the Ridgeway, an ancient track that goes past the Neolithic remains at Wayland’s Smithy (10 minutes) and the chalk-cut White Horse at Uffington (20 minutes). Throughout the summer, the owners also run workshops on spiritual development, focusing on things like meditation and yoga – if that’s your jam, don’t forget to pack your mat. There are also evening singing sessions around the communal fire. Nearby villages and hamlets like Wanborough and Ashbury (both 10 minutes) beckon with pretty stone cottages and thatched houses… not to mention a handful of country pubs serving traditional meals and real ales, which you can savour in front of a roaring fire or in the beer garden. If you’d rather do your own cooking, barbecues are provided, and you can source your provisions in Shrivenham (five minutes) or at a well-stocked supermarket a 10-minute drive away. The site also has a toilet block, hot-water showers and a washing-up area.

What customers say

This is a peaceful, quiet, and spacious campsite with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Guests praise the generous pitches, clean basic facilities including a good shower, and the lovely rural location. The owner is frequently mentioned as being very welcoming and helpful. Some minor inconveniences such as limited toilet/shower facilities during peak times and cold water for washing up were noted but did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked What a gorgeous little site! We like sites that are small, quiet, a bit "back to basics" with a laid back atmosphere where we feel like we've escaped the chaos/technology of everyday life. This site delivered on every front.

Lovely warm welcome from a friendly host who made it clear she was on-hand if we needed anything but would otherwise leave us in peace to enjoy our surroundings.

Toilet was cute and quirky with immaculately clean sanitary ware and very well stocked with the all important loo roll and hand wash! Shower was spacious and, again, perfectly clean.

Whole site was very peaceful and calm even when full (all 12 pitches were occupied on our 2nd night - but no issues whatsoever with noise or the facilities being overstretched). Pitches are large and level.

The whole vibe was relaxed and friendly and we will definitely be returning.

Disliked Having to leave!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The location was absolutely stunning. How can a field be so perfectly calm and healing? Well, Daisy's Farm achieved near perfection. The pitches were spaced well apart and there were si many different birds to hear while relaxing, it was just amazing. At the end of our stay we went to a woodland meditation which was amazing. The space was exactly what was needed for relaxation and healing, all round a fabulous experience.

Disliked I would say disliked is too strong a word, but there was only one toilet and shower for 12 pitches. It was mildly inconvenient if you needed to use the toilet, particularly as the washing up station was close by. Running water and a full bladder don't mix! The facilities were rustic but functional and there was also a composting toilet that gets opened if it's really busy so it's not a massive issue.
