Surrounded by the spectacular Wilshire countryside and agricultural land, peaceful Daisy’s Farm has large pitches on an ancient ridge and furrow grassy field that forms part of a three-acre smallholding growing summer fruits and vegetables. Staying here puts you within easy reach of not one, but two National Landscapes: the North Wessex Downs (15 minutes’ drive) and the Cotswolds (half an hour). Meanwhile, Swindon is a 20-minute drive on the A420, should you require shops or big-town attractions during your holiday. However, chances are you’ll be happy to soak up the natural vibes, make friends with the resident geese and explore the local woodlands with your dog, who is a welcome guest here. Perhaps you’d like to have a go at the Ridgeway, an ancient track that goes past the Neolithic remains at Wayland’s Smithy (10 minutes) and the chalk-cut White Horse at Uffington (20 minutes). Throughout the summer, the owners also run workshops on spiritual development, focusing on things like meditation and yoga – if that’s your jam, don’t forget to pack your mat. There are also evening singing sessions around the communal fire. Nearby villages and hamlets like Wanborough and Ashbury (both 10 minutes) beckon with pretty stone cottages and thatched houses… not to mention a handful of country pubs serving traditional meals and real ales, which you can savour in front of a roaring fire or in the beer garden. If you’d rather do your own cooking, barbecues are provided, and you can source your provisions in Shrivenham (five minutes) or at a well-stocked supermarket a 10-minute drive away. The site also has a toilet block, hot-water showers and a washing-up area.

喜欢 Lovely, ideal location for visiting the nearby historic sites. Well kept, fairly priced, and a friendly and communicative proprietor.

不喜欢 Borders a neighbouring farm who clearly have to proceed with tractor work regardless of the adjacent campsite, on all days of the week.

喜欢 Spacious pitches on level ground. Site well cared for with quirky features such as the solar lighting round the facilities area. Very peaceful and reasonably good view of stars despite light pollution from Swindon. Good access to Rigdeway and beyond. Nearest town (Shrivenham) is walkable across the fields if it isn’t too wet. Shower room is spacious.

不喜欢 Only one shower and actual flush toilet (composting was shut whilst I was there due to the few people on site) so might get busy in peak season. Only cold water for washing up so plan ahead.

喜欢 Plenty of space in a grassy field and a friendly welcome. Lovely to be able to hire a firepit and wood was plentiful. Quiet when we stayed with beautiful views of fields towards Fox Hill and Liddington Hill.
Camping as we like it: toilet, shower and drinking water and space to enjoy the outdoors and explore the surrounding area.

喜欢 Absolutely lovely stay, very peaceful campsite with lots of birds, geese and even sheep! Melanie was very accommodating, we had a fire pit going most night and had a lovely guided meditation on the Monday. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend :)
