Simple and pretty, well situated.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Birdsong, the little river, short grass, hot water, beer!
Disliked Toilet seats in the ladies both need fixing - a minor point
Good place for a quick stopover, don’t expect much from the facilities
Primitive grass campsite (adults only)
Liked site is in a lovely spot with a stream/river that you can camp right next too if you get their early enough.
Lovely and peaceful, the pub is lovely too!
Disliked The facilities are what let this place down unfortunately…
over 2 days we were there I dont believe the loos/showers were cleaned, luckily the other campers didn’t make much mess in here…
Which was not the same for the sink area… this was left an absolute state by other campers unfortunately. I know this is not the sites problem but it wasn’t cleaned up and was left…
Easy one night stay
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Friendly staff, quick and easy for a one night stay, pub onsite for food and drink.
Toilets and showers were clean!
Disliked Not much space especially for a Tentbox/ camper vans. The flat pitches where all took by the time we go there and we ended up being very close in between two other separate traveler’s where I could hear their conversations etc
I recommend if there are any available, book hard standing for campers/tentboxs
It was very clean staff and other campers very friendly
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Very clean peaceful and friendly site showers n toilets clean could do with another toilet or two in each male and females blocks other than that spot on
Really handy for an overnight stay, especially if you want dinner.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Phone quickly answered on arrival to check in.
Showers hot and powerful, no extra charges to use them.
Kettle and toaster available in washing up room.
Really nice evening meal in the pub.
Disliked Limited amount of level grass pitches so had to set up closer to another tent than would have liked.
Excellent site with good facilities and would definitely return

Liked The staff were lovely and helpful.
Great toilet,shower and cleaning facilities.
The site was clean and peaceful witha fishing lake next door.
We pitched on a beautiful spot by the river, there were lots of wildlife.
We performed some music in the beer garden and on the campsite, everyone enjoyed it.
We will happily visit again, very peaceful and run by a lovely family.

Very excellent quality, clean facilities amazing staff.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Excellent quality facilities, clean, heated and stocked, shower and toilet cleaned throughout the day, kettle and toaster facilities in the washing up area, ground maintained well and grass kept a good height, right next to the river so can fall asleep to running river sounds, plenty of wildlife even though right next to road, you wouldn't even know about it. But is a mere 30 second walk from camping ground, staff are friendly and accommodating, really good personalities with a good range of drinks on tap and spirits behind the bar, pub garden is a good size with a play area for the little people. Both electric and non electric options even for tenting people. Good amount of parking. Families mainly whilst there and everyone was very Respectful about keeping the noise down once the kids were in bed.
Disliked Don't have a single dislike to report.
