What customers say
A lovely, well-kept site with big pitches, trees, and a stream. Spotless facilities, including showers. Kids love the playground and stream. Peaceful, though some note road/rail noise. Easy check-in, friendly staff. Some privacy concerns in showers, occasional bin/toilet roll issues.

Cleanliness of the toilets, the shower…
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Cleanliness of the toilets, the shower block and washing up station. The setting was idyllic with the trees overhead and my little girl loved playing in the little play area. Easy to find and get into. Would recommend to other campers.

Disappointing site with potential but in need of modernisation
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Pretty field with plenty of room. Lots of wildlife with a deer in the field near the tent.
Disliked We had to use carts to transport our camping gear in trolleys to the camping field. It was very confusing checking in and finding the pitch.
The toilets and shower facilities were very poor. Cleaning was poor and the shower facilities were not fit for purpose, with a complete lack of privacy for changing. The light did not work despite this having been identified in previous reviews.
This has been noted in other reviews.
Entry to the site required a code that activated a comically slow gate that looks as though it would give up the ghost any minute.
Communal bins were smelly and overflowing.
Road and rail noise
Other campers were using fire pits despite the recent ban.

Self entry, code shared by email,…
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Self entry, code shared by email, turn up, pop it in and you’re away. Really easy.
Lovely natural site, not like some hard standings where you feel like you’re at a caravan park, tonnes of tree coverage, stream, nature, plenty of room between pitches.
Toilet block simple but clean and suitable.

Peaceful woodland setting. Poor toilet and showers facilities
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Peaceful woodland setting.
Disliked Toilet and showers, Very tired.
Ladies only 2 loos and 3 showers. Two of the showers are just cubicles opening into the toilet block with nowhere to undress and hang clothes. No hand drying facilities, just a small shared hand towel. There was an additional family bathroom but no functioning light, struggled to see how to operate the electric shower in low light.
You can’t park your car next to your caravan/tent. Not sure the reasoning behind this since campers can come and go freely.
Guests staying on the site didn’t respect other guests privacy, walking across pitches …sometimes brushing under the caravan window. Would be nice to see a few notices to remind guests of others privacy. The site is currently up for sale, and as great potential for anyone with the cash !!

Disliked Perhaps a couple more toilets would be good

Great campsite with so much potential, only small improvements needed.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The small, compact size of the site. Great location for visiting Longleat. Loved the stream. Beautiful woodland location, with mature trees nearby.
Disliked The lack of changing areas at the showers, taps not easy to turn off.
