What customers say
Campers rave about friendly staff, great location near Cheddar Gorge, and spotless facilities, especially showers. Enjoy spacious sites, a chill vibe, food, and entertainment. Minor mud/noise mentioned, but overall, it's a highly recommended spot people want to revisit. New upgrades boost cleanliness and service.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked The atmosphere, bar, food, toilets and showers were all excellent! We have been to a lot of campsites so we know what our preferences are but this one by far is one of the best we have been too.
Only a 5 minute drive from Cheddar Gorge too which is perfect.
We only stayed for one night but wish we had more time to book another night!
We will 100% be coming back next year and cant wait to relive it all again!
Thank you Petruth Paddocks for an amazing stay!

Fantastic!Live music, food truck + walking distance to Cheddar Gorge
Primitive grass campsite
Liked This campsite is perfect! It has plenty of space to accommodate anyone, from those who want a very lively stay to those who want a quiet, relaxing getaway. Despite being really big, the space is well divided into areas of "quietness level". It has plenty of toilets and showers that get cleaned every few hours! (Really impressed with the work!) There is a central area with food stands (Mexican food, a coffee truck, a bar, a pizza oven and a great mother-daughter cake business!). It is within walking distance to the Cheddar gorge, which makes your hiking so much easier (from 11 onwards, there is a massive line of cars to enter the village, so staying at this campsite is the best way to visit the gorge!). We would certainly come back! There is also so many fresh drinking water fountains every few meters!

If we came again we would book a grass pitches away from dusty roads
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Great customer service
Disliked Hardcore instead of tarmac hardstanding/roads/pavements, difficult to sit outside motorhome due to hardcore surface and no grass, outdoor rug damaged from large stones. Very dusty with traffic/farm vehicles driving by constantly.

would definitely go back
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Staff were super helpful (especially Beck) and the site is really organised. We hired a wood fired hottub which was brought to our pitch and all set up for us. There is a bar, pizza van (preorder only) and breakfast van on site. Toilets and showers were better than most campsites. Great location for exploring cheddar gorge and other nearby attractions, only 20 minute walk. Play areas for kids
Disliked We went in August and the site was really busy. there were some really noisy groups until the early hours. Bar service was really slow (apparently due to problem with ice machine) had to wait 40mins for 2 cocktails. Not a site if you want peace and quiet in the school holidays.

Liked The double decker bar bus was awesome and made a great communal area. Staff were really friendly. Good washing up facilities. Cheddar Gorge within walking distance. Will definitely be going back. Staff carry out Regular cleaning of toilets and showers daily
Disliked Although the showers had great pressure, I would recommend that you put your belongings in a plastic bag to prevent them from getting wet (this was only a minor niggle)

Overall, a great campsite but too noisy for us with young children
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The overall feel of the camp when we first arrived was fantastic. We felt very welcomed when we were checking in. A kind lady found us a nice spot where we could set up our tent, with our friends camper van next to us. The toilet/shower facilities were very clean. They had lots to do there for children - we had a 5 and 11 year old with us. The singer/guitar player in the evening was brilliant and we (the adults) particularly loved the cocktails from the bus bar! Definitely a bonus 👌 also for £5 you can buy a smores kit from the shop - the kids loved toasting marshmallows on the fire 🔥
Disliked I wish I could have given this camp 10 stars as it was just the most perfect day... until it was time to go to sleep. We didn't get settled until around 11pm (which was late for the 5 year old) and we were told that there was a noise curfew of 11pm. It got to 11:30pm... didn't worry too much, as people were enjoying themselves and probably weren't watching the time! 12am... still noisy. 1am... we could still hear music !! and people laughing and talking very loudly. I tried ringing the out of hours contact number for the site and left a message but didn't hear back from anyone. That sort of put a downer on our little getaway. It was only a night, but we all felt exhausted the next day for having very little sleep!
