Powered grass campsite
Liked We stayed at Petruth Paddock for four days and three nights. We had a lovely pitch with electric hookup. We were met and showed around by the lovely Bex. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were cleaned regularly and they have lovely hot showers. We preferred to cook our own food, but it was nice to know we had the flexibility to buy on-site at the food van. All the campers were very friendly too and respectful. All around we had an amazing stay and would definitely go back. Thank you Petruth Paddocks!

Liked The closeness to Cheddar (walking distance), the friendliness of staff, plenty of clean toilets and showers
Disliked The electric charges on top of a dearer site fee. All we use electric for is fridge and charging phones, the £3 that was included in the booking ran out overnight on our first night we didn't get on the site till 2pm so didn't even last 24 hours. We have never stayed at a site that uses this method before. Topped up a further £10 and used £5 of this and then forgot to get the remainder back so the site clicked this, im sure we won't be the only ones that forget so it's a nice little earner for the owners

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely site in a great location, within walking distance to Cheddar.
Plenty of toilets and showers.
We had a choice of fields, we chose the adults one with music off at 11pm.
Great entertainment on Saturday evening, food vans and cocktails.
Disliked The group of young lads camping near us didn’t observe the 11pm music curfew.

Powered grass campsite
Liked This was our fourth visit to Petruth Padocks. Again, Jules and the excellent team delivered a well presented, clean, enjoyable, and outstanding service and campsite. The showers were clean and spacious. The toilets were again, clean and spacious. The coffee bar and food hub offered a great range of food and beverages. Walking distance to Chedder is less that 15 minutes and make and great walk. The team offer a campfire service with kindling and wood proved at a very reasonable price. The whole site gives a very friendly atmosphere. We will be returning. We had no issues at all at this site.

Liked Incredible staff, facilities and organisation - polite and really on it. Facilities plentiful and clean. Very organised.
Disliked Site is large and spacious but is geared towards more family groups rather than smaller groups seeking more of a back to nature experience. A personal dislike though and no reflection on the job the campsite is doing hence the 10/10.
