What customers say
Highly recommended for its beautiful setting, peaceful vibe, and friendly staff. The lake is a major highlight for swimming/paddleboarding. Reviewers loved the clean facilities, spacious sites, and proximity to a pub. Minor issues noted: limited restrooms, inconsistent hot water, and occasional group noise. Overall, very positive with many wanting to return.

Great campsite with the bonus of a great swimming lake.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The view of the lake was beautiful and swimming in it was wonderful. The shower block was modern and tastefully done and the site wasn’t too busy. The cafe was lovely and we will definitely return as it was good value and only 10 miles from home.
Disliked The toilets ran out of loo paper and the showers need some benches or somewhere to put clothes. It was tricky to keep everything dry.

Liked Simplicity itself to book via pitchup
Plenty of flat space between each set-up.
The custom fire pits look funky for rent.
The lake and dogwalking fields were ideal and there's even a chalk-stream to paddle in ..
The two new amenity blocks were ideal and well designed plus Eco friendly! A great improvement since our last visit in 2023 and we WILL be back.
The dog walks are better signposted too and the nearby pub open more hours
Ideal for us and our dog , but very popular with children so we'll stick to low season
Disliked Can't think of anything.
