  • Quiet countryside glamping at a Dorset farm on the Isle of Purbeck
  • A 10-minute drive to the Jurassic Coast, beaches and Wareham
  • Furnished bell tents with a gazebo; farm shop five minutes' walk
West Holme Glamping is a micro-site with pre-erected bell tents in the Dorset National Landscape. Just the job for romantic mini-breaks or holidays for small families, it's set in 20 acres, so there’s plenty of privacy and lots of space to roam around. The bell tents here come equipped with a double bed, rugs, picnic tables, lanterns, a gazebo and a gas barbecue. Cooking utensils such as pans, plates and glasses are also provided. The three showers and three toilets are shared between six tents, so there’s plenty of privacy and space. You'll just need to bring your own bed linen and towels or add them to your booking. You can explore the area by car – medieval castles, beaches, National Trust sites and the Jurassic Coast are all less than half an hour’s drive away. Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are 20 minutes' drive away. Pretty market towns like Dorchester (also 30 minutes) or seaside resorts like Swanage (20 minutes) are all worth a mosey, while historic Wareham has Saxon town walls and riverside churches to explore. The sandy beaches of Studland and Swanage are also within half an hour's drive of the site. If you’re feeling energetic, the Isle of Purbeck has plenty of walks and bike rides on the rocky peninsula overlooking the English Channel, as well as parts of the South West Coast Path. The local farm shop, with a butchery and restaurant, is a two-minute walk away and sells excellent local Dorset produce if you fancy cooking on the barbecue. And if you don’t, there's a tea shop attached, and there are plenty of gastropubs serving real ales and great grub in less than a 15-minute drive too.

Liked The hosts were extremely friendly and nothing was too much for them. Unfortunately it rained when we went but they brought us extra blankets and hot water bottles. They came regularly to check if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again

Liked Absolutely wonderful stay with a lot of little extras that made it even more special! The hot water bottles were a life saver! Only struggled a little bit with getting a good temperature on the shower, but other than that, amazing!

Liked We loved staying at this site. We came to visit Camp Bestival, and it was the right decision to stay outside, as it was so easy to get to the festival. It felt very safe, private, quiet and peaceful. The facilities are immaculate, we had evering we needed and more. The staff were excellent, paid a great attention to our needs. We also enjoyed having the farm shop so close. Thank you!

Liked It's a lovely location, easy to get to the beaches at Studland, Lulworth etc. The facilities are excellent and has everything you need.

Disliked We gave feedback last year that washing up facilities could be improved and this year they were so I don't think there's anything.
