What customers say
This family-run site boasts scenic rural views & a relaxed vibe. Guests rave about the friendly owners, clean facilities & tasty home-cooked food. Spacious pitches & kid-friendly fun (rope swing!) are highlights. Downsides: road noise, some sloped sites, and occasional facility hiccups at peak times.

Liked Pleasant young lady in tea room kitchen, very helpful. View
Disliked I asked to be by a hedge, but not by the busy main road. We were placed by the main Sidmouth road despite there being other hedges on site. Was told just the occasional tractor rumbling by... nooe! Also we were sited by the bins. Noise from traffic was an issue. Dated and not terribly clean toilets. If you like lots and lots of insects, you will be fine. Bring your own plug for the sink. Due to stay 2 nights left after 1.

From the manager: Hello, thank you for taking the time to review your short stay here.
I'm sorry in this instance you were unhappy with your pitch, which was on the small road that leads to the Seaton road.
Our bins are screened and emptied twice weekly, with your pitch being on the opposite side of the main gate & drive
includes a wooden wind break for privacy and seclusion for your dog . We attempted to fulfil all your requests , including being next to a hedge. Any other hedges you saw did not have an electrical supply or else reserved for tents.
I'm sorry if the Saturday traffic was an issue ,this is an un numbered road so not classed as busy.
Sink plugs are not supplied to be sure its germ free for clients as most campers prefer to use their own washing up bowl,
if there was one missing from any toilet basin, apologies, we are frequently replacing them.
Any problems could have been brought up at the time and dealt with to make your stay more comfortable.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed most of your stay.
Apologies about the music being played too late.
On everyone's welcome letter it stipulates no music after 11pm & the details are there to phone us in an emergency if you feel your fellow campers are out of control. we can nip any problems in the bud if we know about it..
We sleep on site but down under the bank so never hear if music is playing so depend on your good selves to contact us if someone is too loud after hours.
We look forward to seeing you here again.

Small friendly site with good views. Some level & some sloping pitches

Liked Lovely field with beautiful views over the valley. Loos and wash facilities were fine and clean. Lots of space and a friendly host.
Disliked The road adjoining the site is quite busy so there was some traffic noise but that subsided as the evening wore on.

Incredible site with amazing views, fantastic owners and facilities!
Primitive grass campsite
Liked What a magical site! The owners were incredible, facilities clean and easily accessible, great WiFi coverage, large pitch sizes, fantastic local products available from the main barn as well as beautiful cream teas and food. Loads for kids to do and explore with rope swings and owners even put up a large football net as a surprise one afternoon. Farm animals such as the chickens and geese, the cows in the far fields and of course Mia the cat were a highlight for the family as well as the incredible night skies, perfect for star gazing. Will definitely be back next year, couldn’t fault it!!!

Liked The location
Disliked It was advertised as a pub campsite but the pub was a small bar that only opens Fri/Sat and not even on a bank holiday. Farm shop is advertised but I didn’t see any produce on sale and despite advertising their own cider, when asked at “the bar” all they could offer us was a can of Thatchers. Sat at a table that was full of a left over cream tea, this was not cleared during the whole hour we were sat there, despite staff walking pass several times. No where on site to exercise dogs.
The toilets and showers were really dirty and looked as if they were not cleaned regularly. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left after the first.

Liked Onsite restaurant and bar and shop. Nice site and nice views, all clean and tidy
Disliked Only one toilet block so sometimes there was a wait but nothing major. Another toilet block in the restaurant area but that closes at 10.
