What customers say

Well-kept, friendly campsite with great amenities like a popular covered pool, games room, & new playground. Staff are very helpful, creating a family feel. Shop's well-stocked; pub food's good value. Minor issues: Wi-Fi, shower temp. Some pitches sloped/astro turf. Most would return.

All-weather powered cement/asphalt campsite

Liked Very friendly welcome and shown directly to our campervan pitch. The pitch was large and flat so no faffing about with ramps needed!
Clean and spacious toilet and shower facilities. Good washing up area and useful to have a microwave and kettle available near the freezer and washing machines.
Nice bar and restaurant. Food was tasty and good value.
Swimming pool looked nice but didn’t get a chance to use it this time. We’ll be back though!

All-weather powered cement/asphalt campsite

Liked Beautiful site, quiet with nice clean facilities and lovely staff who are helpful and friendly. Loved the pool which is available all day and just perfect with younger kids too. Lovely little orchard to pick a few pears and apples. Great spot to visit the Jurassic coast from. Would love to come back next year again in one of the lovely static caravans there.

Disliked The only thing for us was not being able to grab a coffee on site or a breakfast if not making it yourself but that is really minor. There is a Starbucks 10 min along the road also and plenty of lovely places to get food early on if needed.

All-weather powered cement/asphalt campsite

Liked Friendly staff, unhook on arrival and they take your caravan to your pitch. I'd asked for a pitch near everything as Mr is disabled. We were right near the bar/restaurant which was great except the pitch we had, had an incline to get on to the road which was hard work for Mr but we managed. The pitch size was a great size. Toilet and shower block nearby which was clean and plenty of toilets. Great swimming pool which my youngest loved.

All-weather powered cement/asphalt campsite

Liked Recently had a 4 night stay here in our campervan. Staff were lovely, cleanliness of all facilities were exceptional. All food (especially pizza) were delicious, drinks were nicely priced. Kids loved the pool. Sticky 13s was a first and we won a packet of penguins 😊.
I don't usually leave reviews, but we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Disliked Nitpicking, the first nights sleep wasn't great, the A35 is a little noisy at the top end of the site. The next 3 nights were fine. Absolutely no reflection on the lovely feel of the site.

All-weather powered cement/asphalt campsite

Liked Friendly campsite with family feel but not commercial. Well stocked shop. Swimming pool great and pub food reasonable price and good quality. 12 inch pizzas £12-£14 each and cooked in the pizza oven. New children’s play area next to pub patio very useful to eat and drink while the children play. Very clean toilets and shower block. Loved it and will be back! Lots going on in school holidays.

Local attractions

Close to the park, Shute Woods (35 minutes' walk) are a sweet spot for walks. Alternatively, guests can head to the dramatic South West Coast Path to forage for fossils at Charmouth beach (15 minutes' drive) and take in the views from the famous Cobb at Lyme Regis (15 minutes), which has sandy and pebbly beaches replete with rock pools. Have a stroll along Beer beach too — followed by a well-earned pint, perhaps... For family frolics, the Crealy Theme Park & Resort (half an hour) has rollicking rides. There are miniature and model railways and crazy golf at Pecorama (20 minutes). Plus, another track-based treat is the Seaton (15 minutes) heritage tram, which trundles its way through two local nature reserves teeming with wading birds. Other options include meeting the residents at The Donkey Sanctuary (20 minutes) in Sidmouth; the wildlife, forest activities, play barn and maze at Escot Park (25 minutes); cream teas and glorious English country gardens at Burrow Farm (20 minutes' walk); or an outing to one of the various National Trust properties nearby.
