What customers say
Highly-rated, peaceful site near Rock's beach/village. Spacious, level pitches. Owner Luke gets rave reviews. Basic facilities (portaloos/showers nearby) are dated to some. Quiet, but occasional farm/camper noise. Price deemed high for amenities by a few.

Meadow 2 primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We loved our stay at Porthilly, so much so that we extended our holiday from 1 week to almost 2!
The campsite is very simple but has all the basic things you need - 2 portaloos which were very clean, bins to dispose of rubbish and ash (which Luke popped by very regularly to empty), slaps to put your bbq on, and a drinking water tap in the bottom corner.
The 12 pitches are very spacious and nicely spread apart so it doesn't feel at all cramped, and the atmosphere was very quiet and friendly :)
The neighbouring field which you also have access to has a large pond with a picnic bench next to it and the string of solar lights joined up to the bench made a lovely place to sit in the evening. Our toddlers really enjoyed running around this large empty field and riding their balance bikes down the big grassy hill!
The showers are a very easy short walk round the corner in a neighbouring holiday park. They were also very clean and quiet every time I visited (which was in the evening) with lovely hot water!
Porthilly beach is only about a 5 minute walk down the road so the campsite is in a great location too.
Nursery Stores and the Texaco garage round the corner has a really good selection of stock between them, and Wadebridge is only about a 15 minute drive away where there's bigger supermarkets (we visited Lidl, Aldi and Tesco).
All in all we had a very comfortable stay, the campsite was exactly what we expected for the price (£15 per night when we stayed) and we will definitely be coming back!

Meadow 2 primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked The field was so peaceful and in a great location for walking the coast paths and visiting Rock and Padstow .
The owner was great and gave me loads of information about what to do and where to go. I’m not sure what I would’ve done without his knowledge.
A quiet peaceful site

Liked Our favorite campsite. Good value, lovely sheltered meadow, lots of birds to watch, holiday park nearby for hot showers. Short walk to porthilly beach and all the great restaurants in Rock.
