What customers say
This campsite boasts stunning views and a peaceful, back-to-basics feel. Guests love the scenery and the friendly owner, Shaun. Hot showers are a plus. However, facilities like compost toilets and showers are basic and need work. The access road is rough. Still, many want to return.

Lovely quietly friendly and very relaxed…
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely quietly friendly and very relaxed site.
Disliked Someone had a fire… It looked well under control but under the current circumstances I would politely suggest that the owners are very firm about asserting a no fires rule during the current drought. I had just come from a farm campsite in Devon which had a very clear rule about this so it was a bit of a surprise.

Raw camping … perfect
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Camping at its simplest … and best. It had everything we needed … loo, shower, water, views and peace, and a pub nearby.
I appreciate it’s not to everyone’s taste … but that’s why we loved it.
Disliked Nothing.

Has potential to be excellent. Facilities need a bit of attention
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Remote and peaceful surroundings. Friendly welcome and advice from owner. Short walk to excellent local pub.
Disliked Cleanliness of facilities needed improving. Having Eco toilets and a converted trailer as a shower are great ideas, but it didnt feel like they were well maintained. No soap, only one cubicle had a small roll of toilet paper and shower floor was dirty with no space to hang clothes.

Beautiful views
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely view, lovely place and facilities, lovely people. Perfect for the price.
For those walking from Newlyn, cut through Gwavas Skatepark through Treveneth Crescent to avoid a road with no path.
