  • Dog-friendly pop-up site with views of Mount’s Bay
  • A 20-minute walk from Newlyn and 30 minutes from Mousehole
  • A short walk from a pub; rural walks in the surrounding area
Views? Tick. Coastal spots within walking distance? Trewarveneth Manor Farm Camping has that too. In fact, this small, family-friendly pop-up site has a lot to like. It’s within walking distance of Newlyn, Paul and Mousehole (all characterful villages) and there are views over Mount’s Bay and St Michael’s Mount, a castle island just off the coast. If that’s not enough, the countryside surrounding the bay is made up of low hills and sandy beaches. Local communities include Penzance, Marazion, Perranuthnoe and Porthleven, some very well-liked Cornwall destinations, and rightly so, with lots of different offerings. First, though, to Mousehole you go… with cottages around a little harbour, two safe sandy beaches and a host of places to eat and things to do (including coastal wildlife cruises on board the Cormorant and heritage walks around the village), you’ll be glad to be just half an hour’s walk away There’s a regular bus service from Mousehole to Newlyn and Penzance to take your adventures further afield. If you’d rather get in some peaceful pedals, it’s also the starting point for a cycling trail to Marazion. The village of Paul, just 15 minutes’ stroll away across the fields, is home to the church of St Pol de Leon and a pub that serves excellent beer and food. That’s just the fuel you’ll need for rural walks all within easy reach of Trewarveneth Manor Farm – any dogs you bring are likely to enjoy these routes. Back at base, the site has portable toilet and shower facilities, as well as a washing-up area and drinking water, but no hot water.

Liked: Nice place to stay with a great view. Pub was only a 5 minute walk away. Like the use of an old livestock trailer as a shower.

Liked: Beautiful ocean view, lots of space for our ferret to play, comfortable sleeping on grassy pitch. Shaun the farmer was really nice and went out of his way to get firewood for us as a favour.

Disliked: Nothing!

Unpowered grass and earth tent or trailer tent site

Liked: Hot water

Disliked: It is not a Campsite, its just a remote field! The grass are left high and uncut making everything uncomfortable especially on a rainy day. Pitches not level. The compost toilet is absolutely disgusting. No toilet paper. The front urine compartment is blocked most of the time. It looks like hasn’t been cleaned for weeks. Smelled awful and very unhygienic. The showers are very basic with a low screen between 2 showers, so no privacy! Bumpy road which made it very difficult and tricky. No electricity at all! There information about the site and its poor service and facilities (which was non!) is not accurate! There is no staff there to go to if you need help. If anything happens you are on your own. We stayed for 5 nights but not met the owners throughout our stay. I'm wondering how they got the license or permission to be a Campsite. It's unhygienic, unsafe!

Liked: perfect spot with amazing view to Penzance and St. Michael's Mount, only a few mins drive to beautiful Mousehole, Penzance, Lands End and Porthcurno :) The facilities not bad either ;) hot water shower was a great surprise :) the weather wasn't great but the owner offered fire pit with wood which was a great addition to our evening. Really lovely and quiet place, we could see fireworks at Lands End :):):)

Disliked: The only thing that wasn't great was the weather but this is something we cannot control ;)

Liked: Great location. Fantastic views over the coast and st Michael’s mount.

Disliked: I feel like you’re paying for the location and scenery and it stops there. The grass are left high and uncut making walking uncomfortable especially on a rainy day. The compost toilet is absolutely disgusting. The front urine compartment is blocked all the time. Stayed for 3 nights but not met the owners throughout my stay.
