What customers say
Staff get rave reviews for friendliness. Pitches are spacious, but toilet/shower block cleanliness is a frequent complaint, especially in peak season. Bar/restaurant closure and waterlogged pitches are recurring issues.

Liked That it had clubhouse and shop on site.
Disliked But the shop didn't have hardly any food in it.
The toilets and shower block were dirty and never cleaned hardly. No toilet paper or soap either.
The rubbish bins were disgusting, when we arrived it looked like they haven't been emptied for well over a week. So the rubbish was piled up high

Need to revamp the toilet blocks ASAP
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked The campsite itself was lovely (as in the gorunds) and staff were fantastic!
Disliked Camping/tourer toilet blocks were disgusting. Never any toilet roll in any cubicles, cleaner in there once in the mornings (which once cleaned were ok) but after that, vile, which is mainly down the guests but they definitely needed to be cleaned more than once a day.
Showers were absolutely freezing and only lasted for 10 seconds.
We arrived on Saturday to see all the bins outside completely overflown and piles of bags on the floor but they were emptied twice when we were there (we were there a week)

Ideal location for the 7 Bays…
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Ideal location for the 7 Bays
Disliked We stayed here a few years ago, we were happy with the site and facilities. We returned this year expecting the same standard, unfortunately it has gone down hill. We arrived to discover the bar/ restaurant was no longer there. It looks as though they are going to be doing something in its place as it is currently just mud with a digger on it. There is a small bar area near the entrance / exit barrier and I think they do some sort of food. We didn’t go in and try it so I can’t comment on that. No mention of this when booking. Across the road is a building development site. Again no mention of this when booking. 7am wake up call each morning from the diggers!!
The shower / toilet facilities are very much below standard. No evidence of them being cleaned regularly. I would expect a morning and evening cleaning routine for the size of the site. It wasn’t until the last day that we noticed a difference and there was someone cleaning which of course made a difference. I only used the showers twice during our weeks stay. I instead used our shower in our caravan.
There are two bin stores on the site. They were beyond over flowing, as there was no room in the bin, rubbish was building up around the bins. Which of course attracted birds so rubbish was being pulled around the site. It wasn’t until the third day that they were emptied. They soon became full again as the rubbish was put in from the floor. Thankfully they were emptied again a few days later.
The site could benefit from having a warden. As there was also some vandalism in the women’s toilets - hand soaps pulled off the wall.
It’s a great shame as it is in a great spot for visiting the different bays.
The site needs attention and care.

Customer service was great and staff…
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked Customer service was great and staff were really friendly, even made our american staffy very welcome too. Can't wait for the new complex to be built and up and running.
Disliked Toilets needed a little more regular checks as soap and toilet paper were running out, most probably to do with certain children being allowed to run riot and mess around in the toilet/shower blocks. (This only happened near the end of our stay with the family on the pitch opposite to ours) Maybe the toilet rolls should have been put in the dispenser rather than on the top where the children couldn't use it to block to some of the loos. When we first arrived the family next to us had their dog off the lead the whole time which kept winding our dog up as he just wanted to play and due to being on the lead he couldn't but they didn't see this as an issue and just huffed and puffed when my dog was barking everytime they through their dog the ball.

Area and views were fab.…
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Area and views were fab.
Disliked Toilets and shower areas were appalling. How any park is allowed to operate like this is beyond me. Men’s worse than women’s, soiled toilet paper all over the place and in the drains was pure poo. Smell was disgusting.

Great location of site, family friendly, nice spacious pitches.
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked The pitch was spacious, clean, check in was friendly and they were relaxed about how you choose to set up on your pitch.
It was quiet after 11pm no excessive noise (bar the cows being out of sorts from boardmasters one night) even though it was a very busy site.
The bar was friendly and the pizza and beer was a good price and the pizza were freshly made and nice. They do karoke a few nights if that’s your thing.
It was a nice flat pitch. In a excellent location to some truely stunning beaches.
Disliked The touring site only had 3 cubicles on the men’s toilet which we felt is not enough for the capacity of this site (one of those toilets had broken toilet seat)
The showers were generally quite cold and only ran for a few seconds at the time needing the button to be push continuously.
The bins were always overflowing and needed to be emptied more regularly.
There was building work being conducted next to the children play park (the fence between was actually removed while the park was still in use with a digger)
