What customers say
Spacious, peaceful site with friendly owners. Guests love the clean facilities, countryside views, cafe, and farm animals. Relaxed atmosphere with flexible arrival/departure is a plus. A few note shower temp/pressure issues, one early review mentioned an unwelcoming start.

Love love love.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Spacious. Location. Can park next to the tent. Clean and hot showers and loos. Onsite cafe and shop. Clean and tidy site. Welcoming owners. Lots of cute animals. Where I pitched the ground was flat. No/ minimal road noise. Really is out in the countryside.
Best bit- the dark skies. Could see so many stars and meteors as well as clear views of the solar eclipse.
Disliked Nothing

Big bit of fresh country air, not over manicured, natural and healthy
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely! Spacious, quiet, clean, down to earth site, clean showers - which are included - and a well-stocked shop and comfortable cosy café. The farm family running the site are really friendly and nice. I found the honesty shop (available all hours)very handy, you just pay online. Even in August, there’s tons of space between pitches and the site is silent at night. It’s also dark so a fantastic night sky for star gazing. Great for sunsets too. The shower, toilet and washing up block is kept clean and there is plenty of hot water. The water is natural ground water pumped up on site and it’s superb. There is a freezer and charging hut. On Saturdays, There’s homemade pizzas. The farm has animals such as goats, llamas, peacocks, chickens and geese for children to feed. There’s lots of space for children to play. The location is fabulous: just a short drive to Coverack, Cadgwith (superb restaurant/ tea rooms) Kennack sands, Lizard and Gunwalloe which are all gorgeous, and of course the wonderful coast path. Helston has huge supermarkets and petrol stations. If you want a nearby dog walk, we found Goonhilly Downs good, which is a 5 minute drive. We also liked walking in the woods at Penrose, Porthleven harbour (Porthleven ale - bottled - is not to be missed) and the fish and chips at the Smugglers in Lizard! There’s quite a lot to explore nearby such as animal sanctuaries and Riptide bar which has live music on weekends (just a few minutes away). I found the pricing system much fairer than most sites. I would return to this site for all the above and its excellent value.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked A peaceful spacious site with excellent sunsets and incredible night skies. The toilet block was clean and the free showers were always warm. The on-site cafe was handy for the occasional cooked breakfast and the beer & pizza night on Saturday was an added bonus. Highly recommend.
