- Serene and green eco camping over seven acres, a mile from Bude
- Within easy walking distance of beaches, shops and pubs
- Animals, café, pizza oven, veg garden, wildlife pond and forest garden
There are many excellent reasons why Cerenety Eco Campsite is such an excellent place. But any small sorts you have along with your on your Cornish hol will likely only care about one: the number of friendly rescue animals roaming around this friendly and laidback Bude setting.
A former racehorse (who came last in every race as he was more interested in the crowd) is here to meet and greet, along with chickens and alpacas, tortoises, a dog that gently herds the site ducks, and cats so friendly that guests threaten/beg to take them home. And more; you'll meet most of them during your stay at the animal feeding sessions six days a week in season and on weekends out of season (or at any time if you let the human team know in advance).
A huge amount of other first-rate things are on offer at this off-grid, peaceful and back to nature site: you may, for example, care to amble around the living willow tree seats, driftwood archways and upcycled furniture, play chess on the giant tables, or spy species around the wildlife pond...
Or you could potter around the forest garden – and try your hand at creating your own – or just find your own peaceful place for lazing among the grass. Just off site, a hidden beach is five minutes' walk away, Bude Canal is two minutes' stroll and Bude town is just over a mile.
As with the rest of the site, guests have plenty of picks when it comes to eats. Tea, coffee or crepes are available for breakfast in the site café (often run by 'genuine French people', says the Cerenety team), campfires are encouraged, and there's a clay and brick pizza oven for guests' use. Guests can pick herbs, fruit and veg at the vegetable patch and forest garden.
Solar powered showers and compost toilets are also on site.
