What customers say
This tranquil, manicured site boasts lovely gardens and great views for plane spotting. Guests loved the owner's hospitality, with help for gate access and pitch guidance even late. Gatwick Airport proximity means some noise, but most found it unobtrusive. A true gem, perfect for unwinding, with local trails. Basic facilities include grey water and fresh water. A few minor notes like a stiff gate and occasional dog barks didn't spoil the stellar experience.

We were greeted by the sight…
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked We were greeted by the sight of wild deer running through the field and quickly set up on the level site, close to water/waste facilities. We couldn't wait to explore the beautiful gardens of Ichi-Coo Park and were lucky enough to have amazingly mild weather, to sit out and enjoy the views across the field to the gardens. The instructions were very clear from our friendly host Robin and this is a secure site, very close to the amenities of Charlwood village. Thoroughly recommend.

Unbelievable venue has to be seen to be believed
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked A truly extraordinary place. Its like staying in the grounds of a national trust property although the grounds are more extraordinary. Robin and his adorable sidekick, Effy, were very welcoming and polite about me parking in totally the wrong place (oops). Me and my dog were so happy in the grounds and the woods and really didn't need to leave (except to walk to local pub)
Disliked Ok, so it's right under the Gatwick flight path and has no EHU or toilet facility. If these things bother you then don't stay. I actually found the planes much less noisy and bothersome than I expected. And I also really like the off grid element.

From the manager: Thank you, BH. I’m so pleased you enjoyed Ichi-Coo and that the dogs did, too! Come back soon and bring your wife, we’d love to see you again. Cheers, Robin
Beautiful life’s work into the park absolutely outstanding , perfect!
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Loved everything about it, the peace and Tranquility even the aeroplanes don’t take the presence of a beautiful place , being such a large motorhome we had a bit of an issue trying to get in the main gate before we know it. Robin turned up and said I’ll open the bottom gate. Absolutely superb hospitality from the owner will be back very soon.
Disliked The dogs across the road and the boy racers alright , but didn’t outway this beautiful place

From the manager: Thank you so much Allen, I am really pleased you enjoyed it so. I'm going to attend to that entrance and make sure you have easy access for your rather beautiful machine, next time.
Needs to be visited to be appreciated!
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked The field and pitches were well maintained. Excellent to have access to the magnificent, unique Itchycoo Park. The planes landing at Gatwick so closely weren't a problem at all.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Well managed grounds, lovely layout, with grey waste outlet. Views over fields and surrounding country. We arrived late and left early so didn’t have time to appreciate the grounds, but Robin came out, late at night to guide us to the gate and show us where to park up. We were the only ones in. Pitch was pretty level.
Disliked Bit of aircraft noise.

From the manager: You’ll just have to come again, in daylight, so you can enjoy the gardens, John, and find that missing point that got stuck down the back of the sofa! 😉
Thanks for coming and I hope your drive home went smoothly. Cheers, Robin.

From the manager: It was lovely to see you both again, after your intrepid, if a tad scorching, adventures on the continent. I hope that A/C unit does the trick for you, so you can strike out further and deeper into the great wide world, in greater comfort! See you again, I hope!
Cheers

Just go there
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked We loved the location, and I don’t mean the proximity to the airport! There are plenty of great cycling routes and walking opportunities nearby. The park itself is a gem. It is worth staying just for the opportunity of exploring the garden. It is an oasis for body and soul. The smell the eucalyptus trees is so balmy and there are plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the views. The owner is very kind.
Disliked Obviously the noise from the planes, but the ear plugs help and we slept well.

From the manager: Thank you so much for this honest review. I’m so happy that you enjoyed your surroundings and I sincerely appreciate your compliments. I also appreciate that aircraft noise can be disturbing if you’re not used to it. I have trouble sleeping in city hotels because of the street noise, which I’m not used to. During the pandemic, when all flying ceased, it felt like a zombie apocalypse, the silence was literally deafening. I do hope you’ll come back soon and I’d love to give you a tour of the garden and answer all your questions. 🙏

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked If you like being in nature and can go offgrid then this site is for you! Beautiful land and gardens, the owner is lovely too and also very helpful (especially when we got lost!) there is a chemical disposal point and fresh water which is all we needed. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!
Disliked As we only stayed for one night it wasn’t an issue but would be good to have rubbish disposal on site
