What customers say
This small, peaceful campsite is praised for its lovely rural location, flat pitches, and proximity to a friendly pub with good food. While many enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff, some reviews highlighted issues with low water pressure and inconsistent hot water supply. Occasional overcrowding and the need for facility upgrades were also mentioned. The pub is a significant draw.

Excellent site and will definitely be back
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The location is lovely with plenty of space. The pub is beautiful with friendly staff and AMAZING food. Lots of lovely walks to be done straight from the site/pub. Petersfield is within short driving distance for anything needed.
Disliked The toilet and shower facilities we’re basic but functional and mostly clean

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The provision of a wind break in the form of a Laylandii hedge (this site is up on the downs)
The pub itself was lovely. The staff were a credit to the owners. A young lady behind the bar (Emma?) was just delightfull & clearly works in an appropriate industry.
Sadly we didn’t manage to grab an evening meal on this occasion, but we will definitely be back to do just that!

Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked 1 - The location
2 - How quiet it was at night
3 - Can park your vehicle on site
4 - Laura was extremely helpful when making the booking.
Disliked 1 - Wash facilities were ok. Photos online need to be updated to reflect the current condition of the facilities.
2 - The barman working on Saturday night at the pub needs to cheer up. He looked miserable when serving guests.

Liked Stayed for 2 nights recently and absolutely loved this little campsite the host Laura was lovely and very helpful facilities are basic but enough for your needs while camping the adjacent pub is very close to the campsite which helped my wife as she doesn’t walk to well and the staff in there are extremely nice we had 2 meals there and the food was amazing we are definitely going to stay there again !

Lovely secluded location but not very well cleaned or secure.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The privacy and amount of space we had as we were in quite a large group. The connecting pub was a life saver in the more challenging weather.
Disliked The toilets ran out of tissue paper on Saturday and you were already damp from the rain. The toilets and showers weren’t cleaned at all whilst there so got muddy and slippy and sinks not very nice to use. Water pressure when showers were used the taps either didn’t work or it was a trickle. Never had to check in or out as arrived late so security onto the site wasn’t great anyone could have joined us.

Great stopover / intro to camping spot
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely location in the countryside with plenty of space to pitch and able to park right next to your pitch. Site is clean and flat. Extremely convenient with the pub a 1 min walk away (good food and drink, good kids menu).
Disliked Toilet and shower block could do with a bit of a clean.

Well kept and would use again.
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Nice rural location. Large enough site so that campers were all spread out with plenty of room. Welcomed by site manager who checked we had found everything we needed and on-site toilets were clean and very convenient. Was also one of only a few sites locally who would accept a single night stay which was great for our needs.
Disliked Only downside was lack of hot water during a visit and so gave the showers a miss, but we don’t expect hotel level luxury when camping for a night!
