Plenty of space for you and your family
Weekend bar and catering cabin
No better place to be on a sunny Summer's evening
Somewhere to sit and enjoy a freshly cooked pizza maybe, or a cold glass of something on a sunny eve

  • Quiet rural site 10 minutes' walk from the pub in Damerham
  • A 15-minute drive from the New Forest, half an hour from Bournemouth
  • Firepits for hire and barbecues welcome; tractor and trailer rides
Heaps of space and starry skies by night – there’s much to celebrate at Jubilee Camping, a back to basics site in peaceful countryside in the village of Damerham on the border of Dorset and Hampshire. You may like to raise a toast in honour of the site’s location, within easy reach of the New Forest National Park, the old city of Salisbury and the beaches around Bournemouth. Or perhaps you’d prefer to pay homage to the relaxed vibe, which welcomes kids and dogs and encourages barbecues and campfires (firepits are available to hire, and you can stock up on firewood to feed the flames). On weekends during the school summer holidays and bank holidays, breakfast rolls are up for grabs in the morning and the site's Shepherd's Hut Bar is open for local ales and ciders and drinks like Prosecco or a gin and tonic. On Saturday evenings during the same period, the team fires up the woodfired pizza oven to prepare fresh pizza with a variety of toppings too. For other meals, shops, takeaways and restaurants are three miles away in Cranborne or Fordingbridge, and a fab local pub is 10 minutes’ walk away (serving up treats from craft beers to cream teas). In keeping with the traditional setup, there’s not a huge raft of facilities here, but the basics are well tended – toilets, hot showers (to use these, please ask the team in advance), water points and plenty of space for parking. As Jubilee Camping is on a real working farm, guests can also join Dave on tractor and trailer rides or help to feed the calves. Your booking also includes a Wanderlust Camping Club membership, which gives you access to eco-friendly retreats in the UK.

What customers say

Family-run spot with a chill vibe, spacious sites, and lovely country views. Guests love the friendly staff, farm animals, and tractor rides for kids. The bar and food are popular, though food's only at peak times. Showers and dish sinks often have no hot water, some even cold. Toilets are usually clean.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Open fields, large pitches, campfires allowed. There's a small bar on site selling local cider and beer plus a few wine options. Staff/owners are lovely and really helpful.
Food for sale at weekends in the evening. A small selection of outdoor bits to borrow and tractor rides! The trailer looked great fun.

Disliked No cover anywhere if it rains apart from the bar marquee so be prepared if the weather takes a turn.
Showers got cold quickly!

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Had a great 3 night stay here with partner and son. Dave,James and their partners so friendly and helpful. I loved that they'd made a pool for the kids to cool off in. Lots of outdoor toys including table tennis to keep the kids entertained. Daves tractor rides to feed the cows and see the sheep and horses is a real treat. Thank you so much. Highly recommend staying here if you want a proper camping experience in a great friendly environment.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We had a lovely camping holiday at this peaceful campsite. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the countryside. The friendly animals were a real highlight, and the tractor rides were great fun, especially for the children. The campsite had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would happily come back again!

Disliked The main downside of our camping holiday was that some of the facilities could have done with a little more care and attention. We also noticed some unfinished fencing with some wire sticking out, which was a little concerning as the children ran into it a few times. We felt this could be a potential safety hazard and would recommend that the fencing is checked and completed to make the campsite safer for children.

Liked We appreciated all of the following:
-Loads of space to select a spot.
-Didn’t get too busy despite it being an August weekend with perfect camping weather.
-The on-site bar and Friday night entertainment were fun.
-Tractor rides for the kids were very much appreciated.
-Peaceful location
-Decent number of loos and showers, which were pretty clean and well stocked with loo roll.

Disliked No hot water in the washing up area.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We had a wonderful week at Jubilee. There was a lot on site for the children such a bikes and ride on. The children also enjoyed going on the tractor rides and visiting the animals on the farm. The facility were clean and offered hot water which is a luxury. At the weekend different food and entertainment was available to campers. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I am definitely booking again next year.

Liked Really big fields, choose where you want to pitch. Nice for walking the dog 😁

Disliked Very basic rustic toilets and showers. If you don’t mind spiders and other insects joining you in the shower you will love it 😂

Liked Lovely staff met at check in and in the bar. Clean toilets and showers well looked after. Lovely spacious pitches and nice atmosphere on site. Very family friendly, children able to play ball games during the day and ride their bikes. Animals including heep, chickens and piglets to see and peaceful and calm in the evenings.

Local attractions

Up for more of that fab fresh air? Take a rod over to Rockbourne Trout Fishery (10 minutes away) or let everyone, canine companions included, have a romp around the New Forest National Park (15 minutes). Daredevil types may also like to bounce their way across the inflatable obstacle course at the New Forest Water Park (15 minutes); wakeboarding and kayaking are other options here. Turn your sights coastwards and you can hit the beaches of Bournemouth in around half an hour, or get to the Jurassic Coast in around an hour, perhaps to stroll on the South West Coast Path or dawdle your way round Durdle Door in a canoe. In the same direction are the ape antics of Monkey World and the world’s largest collection of tanks, at the appropriately named Tank Museum (both 50 minutes). Petrolheads and historians alike are likely to enjoy ogling the collection of classic cars at Beaulieu’s National Motor Museum (50 minutes); further gems from bygone eras can be seen in Salisbury (half an hour) and at Stonehenge (35 minutes).
