Liked: Clean amenities

Disliked: Road noise , only two other caravans on site, but the noise on our last night coming and going. Although ball games not aloud seems they didn’t read terms and conditions. Ok for a stop off

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Easy access. Toilet blocks were fine and clean. Had an issue on arrival that our assigned pitch had been changed but a quick call to the number given and all was sorted. Electric did go off when another caravan hooked up but again a quick call advising where the fuse box was, soon sorted. Wasn’t a problem after. Dog area - sufficient as we were out a lot.

Disliked: No path to pub, didn’t think would be an issue but in the dark it was a little dangerous. (Site did state that there was no path) Only one shower in each of the male and female facilities.

Liked: Nice clean site. Toilet block nice and clean. We stayed in caravan and had a nosey at the Pods which look fantastic. Very close to Greenlands Cafe and Longlands pub. Lovley area gorgeous surrounding villages.

Disliked: Right next to the road so can be a bit noisy. Only 1 shower in the mens toilet which may be an issue if the site was busy.

Disliked: Plot 3 had connected to our electric hookup, and there were no others within reach for us. Would be good to have a sign saying which hookups belong to which pitch

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Absolutely spotless site, the grounds and pitches are very well maintained and the toilet and shower block was clean. It felt very safe with barrier entry that required a code to enter and exit. The site is next to an A road which you can sometimes hear, but can't see. I was slightly put off booking by reading other reviews regarding the location, but it was fine, it's not a busy dual carriageway, just a fast-moving rural road which is really handy for accessing nearby attractions, it was exactly as expected from looking at maps and the owners description. It's close to the motorway and convenient to get to especially if, like us, you are arriving after work in the dark. The wider location is fabulous, very close to Warton Crag, Hest Bank, Arnside, Silverdale and Kirkby Lonsdale, if you're a walker it's a really lovely area, you're spoilt for choice. The canal is very close and there's a nice farm within walking distance that has a lovely shop as well as plenty for kids to do.

Disliked: Only one problem was the day we was leaving our electric supply went of at 6 am so we had to run on our lessure battery for a couple of hrs not sure why this happened

From the manager: Hi Trevor. Many thank for visiting our park, for your feedback and 10/10 review. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Electric for each pitch is only 10A, so if you had say a kettle/heater on at the same time it may have knocked the fuse out....

Liked: Lovely quaint little site - felt safe and welcome. Pitches were level and the site amenities were clean and tidy.

Disliked: Road noise which is not too noticeable during the day but very noticeable in the evening/night time. Unfortunately no pavement direct from site

Local attractions

For kid-pleasing times, make Greenlands Farm Village your first port of call (100 yards from site). Miniature golf, a playground, archery and cuddly farm animals are all on the cards here (there's also a garden centre, restaurant and well-stocked farm shop for grownup guests). For a family-friendly day at the beach, head to Morecambe Bay (20 minutes' drive), where adventurous types can sort watersports and fishing adventures. Green-fingered guests heading up to the Lakes should call in at Levens Hall (15 minutes), a historic house near Kendal with top-notch topiary. Kendal (20 minutes) is an artsy town on the edge of the national park, a leisurely drive from spots like Lake Windermere (15 minutes from Kendal or 25 minutes from site) and Cartmel Fell (25 minutes or 30 minutes). Most trips down to the Dales, meanwhile, will pass through Kirkby Lonsdale, a market town on the river Lune (20 minutes). Stop off here to admire the scenery at Ruskin's View or for a stroll over the Devil's Bridge, or carry on for outdoorsy attractions like Hardraw Force and Malham Cove (both about an hour from site).
