From the manager: Thank you for your review.
We were genuinely disappointed to read your comments, particularly as the points you mention are clearly described before booking. Our Pitchup listing states that we have unisex toilet facilities, and photographs of them are included so guests can make an informed decision before choosing to stay with us.
We are a small, quiet family-run farm campsite, not a large commercial holiday park. We don't advertise a children's play area, and our listing accurately reflects the facilities we offer. Instead, guests can enjoy our large open field, peaceful countryside walks, and the many nearby attractions, including Blackpool, Lancaster and the surrounding coastline, all within around a 30-minute drive.
Small independent campsites like ours work hard to provide exactly what we advertise. Reviews are incredibly important to businesses like ours, and feedback based on facilities that were never claimed to exist can make it much harder for small sites to continue operating.
We would kindly encourage future guests to read the site description and view the photographs before booking to ensure our campsite is the right fit for their expectations. We believe being open and honest about what we offer helps everyone have the best possible experience.

Liked Site us flat and quiet, toilets and showers are clean.
Disliked It must be the only campsite in the UK that doesn't allow you to park by your tent, absolutely not suitable for anyone with a disability,
ground from car park to field is uneven large gravel, bad with a walking stick, forget it with a walker or a wheelchair, the no parking by the tent doesn't apply to everyone though, we booked for a week and followed the rules and did not park by the car even though it was a struggle for me, others parked by their tent the whole weekend with nothing said, we left on the Monday, I wasn't going to struggle for a week following the rules while most ignored them.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your stay didn't meet your expectations.
Our policy of not allowing vehicles to park next to tents is in place for two important reasons: to protect the camping field from damage so that it remains in good condition for all our guests, and to improve safety by reducing vehicle movements in areas where children are often playing.
We do our best to apply this policy consistently, although there are occasions where exceptions may be made for operational or other specific reasons.
We're sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your mobility. Unfortunately, we weren't made aware of your disability before or during your stay. Had we known, we would have done our very best to accommodate your needs, including offering you a pitch in a more suitable area of the field where we could have discussed appropriate arrangements.

Liked Site was quiet
Showers were warm
Easy to access with the code and no reception so no need to arrive at a certain time to check in or out
Cute donkeys next door
Disliked A bit expensive just for camping. No option to book a non electric pitch even though there appeared to be plenty of space on the other side of the field away from the electric points.

Nice, peaceful site.

Liked There is no reception but we received clear instructions before arrival. It wasn't very busy when we were there and it was very peaceful. The toilets and showers are unisex and were very clean and tidy. The wi- fi was great for us in pitch one. Don't know about the rest of the site. Very hit water available for washing up.
Disliked Some patches of ground were uneven hardcover and if not careful you can lise your footing.
