Liked Everything.. this site is lovely its a smaller site which means peacefull and calm but also fun for the kids with the play area. Faclities are lovely always clean and well stocked with toilet roll and paper towels. Also on weekends the pizza stall is a lovely idea and very nice food. All in all we had a lovely stay here. Will go back again.

Disliked Nothing i did not like.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Everything; staff are so helpful we had to stay an extra night due to one of our vehicles breaking down, made us very welcome. So spacious too; pitches allow for two cars and the awning; pizza and ice cream vans turned up regularly; loos are clean; automatic gate allows access with out having to visit reception; WiFi is fairly good considering we are in a big field; exciting huge tractors for the grandchildren to watch; childrens play area fun; large play area for the kids

Disliked Not much; maybe the hangover from a good night at the Crown Inn Accrington

Liked The open aspect, the views are very special. Children's play area is just perfect for the under 10s.
I live less than 30 minutes away. It just goes to show you don't need to go far to feel like you're on holiday.
Great surprise, on site. pop-up. pizza chef.

Local attractions

Fancy stretching your legs? The Turton and Entwistle Reservoir (10 minutes’ drive) is probably the closest place for a walk in the woods, or you could head a little further afield for the many trails of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (35 minutes) or venture into the Yorkshire Dales from Skipton (45 minutes). Sticking to the outdoor attractions, you could also meet the animals at Smithills Open Farm or the Owl & Bird of Prey Sanctuary, admire the Singing Ringing Tree art installation or stroll around the Victorian gardens of Astley Hall (all about 20 minutes away). And of course there’s always the option of some sandy time at Blackpool beach (40 minutes)… For a bit of urban scenery, take a trip to Blackburn (10 minutes) for the museum, cathedral and ice arena, or set off for Manchester (45 minutes) and the Imperial War Museum North, National Football Museum and plenty of places to eat, drink and make merry.
