Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked A really nice, clean, friendly site. The pitches are very generous with big spaces between them. There's a large grass area in the centre with a children's play park and despite there being quite a few children on bikes and playing football there was still loads of room for everyone to do their own thing in peace and our thing was sitting on our lovely big grass area and enjoying the view! It felt very secure with the gate triggered by ANPR. We really appreciated the hands off arrival, we received all the information we needed by email including our pitch number and were free to arrive and set up without arranging arrival times etc which we don't always know. But if you prefer a hands on welcome there is always someone around and everyone was really friendly. I was very happy to see the ice cream van on site, and my husband was equally impressed to see that there was a guy selling pizza, shout out to The Big Dog Pizza, highly recommend! It's only a mile into Darwen for shops etc. It's a really relaxed, but well run site and we'd definitely go back.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked We are return visitors: the site has good sized, level pitches and is well-maintained. My daughter loves the central play area and grass. Staff also came to my rescue when the campervan door got stuck!

Could be a nice site with a little investment.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Good views and handy for walks and local amenities.
Disliked No site map and nobody to meet and greet.
Bare minimum of facilities which are very dated.
Kids constantly running through and playing on our pitch ruined our stay to be honest. I did speak to them about it, but they didn’t pay a blind bit of notice.

Great little site

Spotless, really well thought out for convenience and lovely touches
Mega Bunker camping pod (hot tub, five person)
Liked Everything you need for convenience such as dishwasher, tv and fridge but still has the feel of camping.
Easy check in with number plates recognition. Entry information sent via email for a smooth and speedy arrival process.
Lovely little touches like marshmallows to toast and complimentary bottles of wine.
The hot tub fire was already going on arrival which we haven't had before.
Playground central to the site so children can play and all plots can see.
Staff checked in to see all was ok just after arrival.
Disliked The curtain over the front door could be a tiny bit bigger to keep the sunlight out for our little one who has a very early bedtime.

Nice site, would definitely recommend
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Nice clean and modern shower block, automatic number plate recognition worked well, nice site with good views and watched a nice sunset.
Disliked No facilities other than shower block. Looks like something is being built so I guess watch this space. Quite close to the road and motorway so I could hear traffic noise at night but I am a light sleeper.

Well-kept site, large pitches
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Very well-kept site, easy to access via ANPR on gate. Lovely play area for children and grassy space for games. Large, mostly level pitches. Very quiet and calm when we visited. WiFi worked well on the pitch which was an unexpected perk. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and well-maintained (although limited in number).
