  • Static caravan with North Sea views on a Whitby farm, North Yorkshire
  • Access to The Cleveland Way from site; Goathland 20 minutes’ drive
  • Kitchen and private decking; pubs and shops 20 minutes’ walk
Seaside holiday or stay in an historic town? No need to decide when you book a break at Brook House Farm, set on clifftops with breathtaking sea and moorland views but just 20 minutes’ walk from the centre of Whitby. You have the rest of both worlds: peace and seclusion on a working farm, yet townie attractions like shops, pubs and restaurants close at hand too. Well-insulated against any inclement Yorkshire weather, the accommodation is in a static caravan sleeping four in proper beds, with living, dining and kitchenette areas and plenty of space so you don’t get under each other’s feet. You’ll have awesome North Sea panoramas from the timber decking – there’s also a sheltered gravelled area for catching the sun – and mysterious Whitby Abbey stands out on the horizon. Brook House Farm is surrounded on all sides by green fields and the sea; there is secure private parking at the site, which is at the end of a no-through road. Your only company is very likely to be the pigs, Suzie the friendly sheep and the occasional moggy on pest-control duties.

Liked: The location , owners friendly.

Disliked: Only one toilet and integrated in that was the shower . Also the text informing us of the pitch number was late so we pitched up in the wrong position first of all then had to move to a new position later.

Liked: Lovely weekend at Brook Farm. Tom came and introduced himself and advised the best way to walk into Whitby. Ideal spot for walking. A bit windy but to be expected.

Facilities kept clean and help promptly given with an electrics problem and resolved.

Liked: We have been to Whitby many times and until we visited Brook House Farm we had not found the right site to stay at. Brook House Farm was perfect for us and our 2 Springer Spaniels. The views are amazing, you can see the Abbey and the sea from your pitch and its only a 25 minute walk into Whitby. If you want to wake up to the sound of a cockerel, say hi to Quiz and Charlie 2 friendly horses, walk past the sheep and newly born lambs and watch the cheeky billy goats frolicking in their field then this is the place for you.

Liked: On a farm. In the beautiful countryside, waking up next to a field of ponies. What’s not to love. Whitby just a short walk, either along the coastline or the lanes, away. A short text on the morning of arrival to let you know where to park and that’s it. No mithering, taking precious time from your trip. Small site with adequate facilities. I would definitely return.

Liked: Location - a nice 1 mile walk on the cliff tops to Whitby and not much difference going on the road.
Informative text from owners giving good Location info.
Even left ua extension cable in case we needed it.

Disliked: Could maybe add a washing up area.

Liked: The peace and quiet of a small site; the views and it felt very safe as a solo traveller. Everyone on site was very friendly; it was a pleasant walk into Whitby and a superb coastal path walk to Robin Hood’s Bay. Would recommend, and hope to return.
