Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked What a beautiful spot. Lush green grass to camp on. A bit of a slope but plenty of flat space too. Showers and kitchen all clean and functional. Very relaxing, wish I could stay longer, there were lots of maps with information on walks and places to visit.
Disliked I think I came in the back way! Thank goodness for sat nav. WiFi is available but you do have to go into the barn, didn't bother me but as no phone signal a short walk to check messages. Great place to detach from tech:)

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked A great camping site with lots of facilities. Showers, several toilets, vending machines for snacks and coffee, tea etc. a freezer to freeze your cool box blocks and there's also breakfasts available if booked the day before. The field is well cut and maintained. It is on a slope though but there are flatter sections especially at the top and foot of the slope. Car parking is next to the camping field which wasn't a problem. All the facilities are clean. I had to alter my arrival day due to a hospital visit but I called in advance and the site owner was fine with that. A great stay and plenty to visit, walk and cycle nearby.
Disliked Nothing.

Great for tents, don’t go with a tent box.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Good facilities, good views and lots of opportunities to buy products that you have forgotten.
Disliked Didn’t mention that didn’t really “accept”tentboxes, even though it was written in the special requirements, had to park in the gravel car park amongst all of the cars.

Well tended site with short grass.…
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Well tended site with short grass. Plenty of signage and instructions by gate and in barn for arrivals. Local walk info. Clean, modern showers and toilets. Vending machines and indoor seating area with wifi and handy charging lockers for phones or valuables, one pound coin to lock door. Owners very friendly and often around. Great views.
Disliked Arriving on foot there is a path from the viaduct otherwise coming along the main road is not recommended as there is very little verge next to the stone walls and traffic can be fast
