What customers say
This peaceful, well-kept spot boasts huge sites with private water/power. Guests rave about the scenery, quiet, and incredibly friendly owner, Sam. Near Fountains Abbey, perfect for dog walks, with amazing views. No toilets is a plus for some. Most loved it, planning return trips! Nearby muck spreading was a minor snag for one.

Liked Beautiful peaceful spot, saw hares, buzzards and red kites, plenty of room.

Disliked muck spreading in the adjacent field as soon as we arrived

Our favourite site this season
Powered grass travel trailer campsite (members only)
Liked This is a fabulous location. The pitches are large, fairly flat and each has electric and water. The site is well maintained with easily accessible bins and elsan point.
A fairly new site so pitches divided by tough edging which will only improve in time.
We were greeted by Jim who talked us through everything. Invited us to use the adjoining field to walk the dog and also pointed out the footpath. Sam came round later in our stay and was lovely. Even helped us putting our canopy away as my thumb just wasn’t strong enough that day!
Everywhere was clean and tidy. The view in the morning as the sun came up over the fields was stunning.
Location is perfect. Lots of places to go to in the area. It just seems like there is nowhere that is not beautiful in this place!
We had 1-2 bars on 4g (Smarty) but great tv reception.
We loved it and will definitely come back again.
Disliked Nothing. As advertised there is no toilet or shower facility so wouldn’t be fair to say this would make it better! In fact it might attract more people and we might not get a space next time - so on reflection we’re glad! It’s probably been our favourite place this year.

Liked This was our first time in our motorhome and we couldn't have asked to stay at a better place. We knew nothing but Sam was wonderful with us. Our electric hookup was incorrect and she very kindly lent us one. We could get anything to work and she sorted everything out for us. Without this wonderful lady our weekend away would have been a disaster

Huge pitches, well-maintained, blissfully quiet and wonderful host.
Powered grass travel trailer campsite (members only)
Liked Enormous pitches, well-maintained, half-serviced (water to the pitches).
Lovely and peaceful.
Sam is an absolutely wonderful owner and host and simply could not be more considerate and helpful.
Disliked Nothing really, but just to point out that because it was so quiet and peaceful guests looking for anything’ on the doorstep’ on foot should think twice. If, however, you’re looking for tranquility and a wonderful host you’re on to a winner.

Excellent new 5 pitch caravan site…
Powered grass travel trailer campsite (members only)
Liked Excellent new 5 pitch caravan site with wonderful views towards Fountains Abbey. Well spaced out and neat pitches with EHU and own water tap. No WiFi but good mobile and TV signal. Very peaceful and such a friendly owner. Lovely field to walk dogs in adjoining the site. Do follow the easy instructions on how to get there from the pitchup or CAMC websites. Will definitely be returning.
