The three-acre camping field
Pitches

  • Quiet East Yorkshire pop-up site five minutes’ drive from Ulrome
  • Burton Agnes Hall 10 minutes’ drive and Bridlington 15 minutes
  • Spacious dog-friendly pitches five minutes’ drive from Barmston Beach
Spacious pitches and complete peace. That’s what you get at West End Field, a back-to-basics site five minutes’ drive from Ulrome village and several North Sea beaches in East Yorkshire. Facilities at this nearly wild pop-up site include drinking water and chemical waste facilities. You'll need to pack torches and batteries, along with all your camping gear. Pitches are nice and flat, and approached by a mown track across the two-acre field. The site is very dog-friendly too (the owners have their own), and you can exercise your pets on Barmston Beach (five minutes’ drive/15 minutes’ walk). There’s a small store and a pub in Skipsea (five minutes), and a fish and chip shop down on the beach (also five minutes). For more serious shopping sprees, the historic market town of Beverley is half an hour’s drive away. Days out exploring the region might take in the comic antics of the puffins at Royal Society for the Protection of Birds-owned Bempton Cliffs (25 minutes). There are spectacular walks and cycle rides along rugged east-coast cliffs, and seaside fun to be had in Bridlington (15 minutes) amusement arcades.

What customers say

West End Field gets high marks for roomy, level spots, a calm vibe, and great value. Reviewers like the simple, tidy amenities (portaloos, sinks). It's well-located for exploring Bridlington and Flamborough. Some road noise, but not a big deal, especially at night. Very dog-friendly. Owners are helpful. WiFi/power planned.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked We really enjoyed our stay at West End Field Campsite. It's a large, spacious field with only a few campervans, so it felt peaceful and relaxed. The site has clean toilets, fresh water, bins, and waste disposal—everything you need for a simple camping stay. The beach is around a 40-minute walk away, which made for a lovely stroll. We'd happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, no-frills campsite.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked This is a nice large field which is well kept. It was nice to have the space and not have other campers so close to you. The facilities are basic but very clean and tidy.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked Pleasant well maintained field and facilities. Close enough to Flamborough but not so close to be expensive.

Disliked Directions given, the post code is a private drive, West End Field is slightly further on.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Lovely flat field, mown grass with plenty of space. Good price and well located for Hornsea, Bridlington etc. We visited Burton Agnes Hall 10 minutes away. Really helpful messages from the owners regarding site check-in, rules and easy ways to get to local places.

Disliked The combination lock was fiddly to get the numbers and the people that left before us put it back on upside down so that was awkward but I am just being picky to fill a box!!
With regards to previous reviews: The road is busier than you think it should be but I think it sounds noisy because it is sooooo quiet when there's no cars.
