Spacious pitches and complete peace. That’s what you get at West End Field, a back-to-basics site five minutes’ drive from Ulrome village and several North Sea beaches in East Yorkshire. Facilities at this nearly wild pop-up site include drinking water and chemical waste facilities. You'll need to pack torches and batteries, along with all your camping gear. Pitches are nice and flat, and approached by a mown track across the two-acre field. The site is very dog-friendly too (the owners have their own), and you can exercise your pets on Barmston Beach (five minutes’ drive/15 minutes’ walk). There’s a small store and a pub in Skipsea (five minutes), and a fish and chip shop down on the beach (also five minutes). For more serious shopping sprees, the historic market town of Beverley is half an hour’s drive away. Days out exploring the region might take in the comic antics of the puffins at Royal Society for the Protection of Birds-owned Bempton Cliffs (25 minutes). There are spectacular walks and cycle rides along rugged east-coast cliffs, and seaside fun to be had in Bridlington (15 minutes) amusement arcades.

Large, peaceful basic site with spacious, flat spots. Great value & location near beach. Toilets, water & bins added by July '25, clean & sufficient. Some note no showers. Well-kept, family & dog-friendly. Helpful owners. Busy access road, but quiet evenings.

Liked All was good including the weather.

Disliked Had to leave a day eariy as the farmer set fire to the adjoining field which smoked us out and someone with COPD converlesing that's not good.

Liked Loved how quiet things were and location was perfect between Hornsea and Bridlington, price was perfect for our family get away.

Disliked Only thing I can point out negatively was that there weren’t many paving slabs spare for bbq.

Liked Great communication with owners. Secure field with clean portaloos tho we were self contained it’s always handy! Water and waste facilities were good and the gate is monitored so felt safe. The field is right next to a road but the noise was minimal. It’s a massive flat field greta for the kids to run around!
