  • Lively family-friendly park five minutes' walk from the beach
  • Pool, kids' splash pool and sports activities
  • Pub restaurant and takeaway
If you’re a delicate flower, there’s no need to wither in the sea when you fancy a swim – go for a toasty float in this park’s smart indoor pool instead. Withernsea Sands Holiday Park is a lively site on the Yorkshire coast, with great facilities for families, including a kids' splash pool alongside the main pool, kids’ clubs, organised sports activities both in the pool and on dry land, and a pub restaurant and takeaway. In peak season, there’s also an evening programme of rip-roaring entertainment and dancing (the vibe is quieter at other times).

Liked Decent size pitch, lots of green space for kids to play.
Others have mentioned the facilities, they are fine mostly clean although a little run down..it’s camping not a 5star hotel!
The entertain was good kids loved it which is the main thing, food in the bar is also good. We managed to get on to swimming both days, (que a littler earlier to guarantee getting in if haven’t booked on) the site also accommodates placing us together as we were traveling with groups of friends

Disliked Nothing, superb site close to beach, kids loved it.

Liked Can’t comment on the site because we didn’t go. When i eventually managed to speak to someone , the person really tried to be helpful but was obviously constrained by the parameters Parkdean have put in place.

Disliked Communication was appalling and the site outrageously expensive. In advance of the weekend i tried to contact them with a parking query because I couldn’t find this information on our booking or on the website.I did not receive a response. Later a personal matter arose and i needed to contact them urgently to advise them that we couldn't attend and to let them know as a matter of courtesy so they could reuse our pitch. I emailed them and got no response. I attempted to find the online chat service that the website advises is available and couldn’t find it - think the portal must have been down. Ended up having to manipulate the telephone options to get to speak to someone. The telephone choices are set up in a way to discourage people phoning the park . We were told we could reschedule the break but that we had to pay some more money to do this even though the prices would drop the following month. We were told we had to attend in the next few weeks. So i just cancelled the booking and we lost all the money we had already paid.

Liked Absolutely nothing as we left after 1 hour

Disliked Rubbish strewn all over the pitches, toilets dirty and badly maintained, 4or5gypsy families staying on the field with scrap caravans and toys and bicycles etc scattered all around, l was threatened by them for taking photographs , we complained to reception about it and they said they were aware of the mess and the gypsies and neither site officials or security had the powers to do anything about them, we immediately left

Local attractions

The beach at Withernsea is only a five-minute walk from the park, and has miles of clean golden sands. Withernsea itself is a small and friendly resort with a lovely prom, open air theatre and a rare inland lighthouse, which now houses a museum. To the south of the town is Spurn Point, a nature reserve where visitors can spot seals, migrating birds and many unusual plants on the long, narrow spit of shingle. There’s more to see and do around and about: a massive nuclear bunker to explore at RAF Holmpton, a 500-year-old Napoleonic fort at Fort Paull, and thrills and spills aplenty at the nearby Pleasure Island Theme Park and The Deep Aquarium in Hull. Shopaholics should also make time to hornpipe down to Hornsea, where they’ll dance with glee at the bargains to be had in the designer outlet village.
