What customers say

Popular family spot with spacious sites & great kid-friendly amenities. Staff are very friendly. While grounds are clean, some find restrooms dated. Beach access is limited due to erosion. Some say food/drinks are pricey.

Liked scoops ice cream hut for the kids

Disliked where do i start ! we booked for the bank holiday friday till monday, came in our motorhome pitched up to a big pitch . The dog bins were overflowing . dogs were suposed to be on leads at all times but some were running around people not bothered that their dogs were out . went for a rest but was on edge looking for my child because of dogs . was like being on a camp site for the bad behaved loud people shouting drinking dogs barking all the time . came home saturday could not stand the noise and stress any longer . cant walk on beach no way to get on . only 3 showers in the block near us and toilets could do with a good clean. wont be back .

Liked Arcades, food, pool, bouncy castle, soft play, digital darts, pools, 2 parks and aroded beach 2mins from the main entrance

The tent pitches are blocked off with bushes for privacy

And the staff throughout the site was helpful and approachable

Disliked Arcade winnings are not the greatest
Tent pitch toilot paper ran out in the night and could of done with extras in the toilots, luckily we also took our own just incase
Lots of activitys onsite you need to pay for like hoverboards, water splash the double and 4 seater bikes, darts and pools you have to pay for plus a deposit that you get back

All in all though! We will be coming again with spending money! I overspent my overspent on a 2 night camping trip

Our 4 yr old, 6yr old and 10yr old all enjoyed themselves

Liked Area was fine, staff OK and friendly.

Disliked Toilets and washing facilities were outdated and appalling. Showers trickled and were cold and dirty, stunk of sewers, washing area was a disgrace. Filthy!

There is electric points which are really useful if you know to take a special adapter that could have been stated on the website but they forgot to include.

You get an entertainment pass but only for swimming. The rest was quite extortionate like £13.50 to ride a kart for an hour they were heavy and hard to use! £4.50 pp for crazy golf that was disappointing they had a windmill rocket ship and other things that you'd expect to be part of the course but they were just ornaments.
Lots of flashing lights and noises so the kids and gamblers can spend their money on gambling machines.

Site wide WiFi was appalling, no Internet unless you pay a lot of money for it.

Liked Individual EHU and water tap.
Relieved we only booked one night and left asap.

Disliked Dirty awful smelling toilets and showers, couldn't consider using them.
Pitch littered with cigarette butts.
Hedge not trimmed properly, narrowly avoided bramble long enough to scratch van paintwork. Three tent pegs found on the pitch grass, lucky they didn't puncture my tyres.
Unable to log in to book the swimming pool before arrival, ( it said that page doesn't exist) on arrival pool was fully booked. Parkdean make a big thing about no sign written or works vans yet they were two sign written vans ( one bouncy castle hire van and one children's parties van on the. pitches)
Pitbull cross type dog being walked off a lead through the park, against Parkdean rules and other dogs seen running free too.
Noisy overcrowded, overpriced touring pitch.
Their own park vehicles exceed site speed limit, sooner or later a child will be hurt. Never staying here again!

Liked Nice pitch, good facilities for kids, playground etc.

Disliked Shame entertainment venues weren't more dog friendly as feel we missed out on value for money as we couldnt go with the dog. Showers were hit and miss with hot water and facilities not the cleanest.

Liked The welcome we got from Skipsea Sands Parkdean employees was great, very friendly and informative.

Disliked The toilet and shower facilities. The toilet cubicle locks were broken, and only 1 cubicle (out of 4 available in the block nearest our pitch) had toilet roll, not topped up over the weekend. The cleaner eventually brought 1 roll when asked, then had to be told more cubicles needed toilet roll. She had already cleaned the block so should have noticed the lack of toilet rolls. The showers were cold. Only 1 hook in each of the 3 shower cubicles. We had to throw our towels and clean clothes over the door otherwise they would have got wet and dirty on the floor. Access to the beach was dangerous and precarious down a cliff. This spoilt my experience as I have arthritis in my knees and had to scooch down on my bottom.
Quiet time was 11.30pm until 7am. This is very late. It should be brought forward to 10pm or 10.30pm. Other campers were very loud and children shouting and running around until very late. Kicking footballs into our tent and lost control of an electric scooter and drove into our new windbreak and knocked it down.

Local attractions

The East and North Yorkshire coast is most visitors’ first stop, from the gannets gabbing at Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs to the seaside shenanigans and surfing of Scarborough. If it’s raining, take the kids to Terror Tower: its three floors’ worthy of grisly special effects should silence even the most horrifying sprog. Flit to fab Filey for five miles of beach, its funfair and the start of the Cleveland Way, and nearby Bridlington for the Bird of Prey and Animal Park and Bondville Model Village. Further along the coast, Goths and others love lovely Whitby; have fish and chips at the Magpie café after an afternoon seeing Whitby Abbey and the replica of HMS Endeavour. Inland yields loads to do too, with the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Park both within driving distance; as it’s Yorkshire, you’ll find stately pads, historic houses and museums of all bents easily accessible too. A good option for a city day trip is lovely York, about an hour’s drive away.
