What customers say
This is a well-kept, peaceful campsite with large, clean grounds and friendly staff. It's a great base for exploring the Suffolk coast and Southwold. Families love the play areas and open spaces for kids. Glamping pods and shepherd's huts are generally comfy, though some guests noted minor issues with mattresses or Wi-Fi. Limited shower/toilet facilities at peak times are occasionally mentioned.

FHU grass campsite
Liked Nice and small campsite Small with large pitch areas. Kids could play freely without the worry of cars driving In and out constantly. There was also a large field where the kids could play with a small climbing frame and swings at the end. Nice nature reserve to walk around also. Facilities was nice and clean and had a very well priced shop on site. Will definitely be back again.
Disliked Nothing it was probably one of the best sites we had been to. Only suggestion would be a family room as we had to use the disabled toilet / shower room so we could shower as a family. However we made sure we were in and out quick in case it was needed.

Shepherd's hut
Liked Site was well cared for and facilities were clean and tidy. Shop well stocked and not over priced.
Disliked One shower is nowhere near enough when the site is full, despite some accommodation having private facilities, when all the shepherd's huts and camping area is full one shower and maybe the disabled shower is not sufficient.

Lovely site close to the coast- we will be back
FHU grass campsite
Liked Love the access to lots of open areas, walks and bike routes. The onsite shop whilst small has all the essentials and the staff are lovely. Bathrooms are nice although at peak times in demand
Disliked WiFi was ineffectual but 4G allowed limited access. As a bank holiday site was busy and number of very young children meant camp site was very noisy from around 6am- this was a shame that usual etiquette for quiet before 0800 was not followed

Disliked Ideally the toilet block could have more toilets and showers

From the manager: We have EV (Electric Vehicle) charging available since April 2023
Excellent site with clean, well maintained facilities and grounds
Glamping Pod
Liked We have been visiting this site each year for about 10 years and always have a lovely stay. The field spaces are great for children to play and meet new friends, or for an early morning stroll to listen to the birds and go round the nature trail. We have camped in our own tent and stayed in the shepherds huts, pods and cabins over the years and all of them are clean and so well maintained all of the time. The shop is so handy and the heath another lovely place to walk. All in all a perfect place to relax and enjoy Suffolk!
