  • Quiet pop-up site at a family farm 10 minutes' drive from Aylsham
  • A 15-minute drive to the north Norfolk coast; half an hour to Norwich
  • Laidback dog-friendly site; walk to pub or Blickling Estate
If you’re looking to get to know north Norfolk this summer, Archer’s Field is a great place to aim for. This quiet pop-up site is in a fabulous location to explore all the attractions of this gorgeous part of the world – it’s surrounded by countryside, about 15 minutes’ drive from the coast and within easy reach of both Norwich and the Broads National Park. This site is part of a farm that’s been in the same family for over 100 years – it was once a dairy farm, but while you’ll still see a few cows around the business has diversified into seasonal crops like asparagus, peonies and Christmas trees. With mature trees lining the camping meadow and wildlife also playing a part (deer, muntjac, tawny owls and egrets are frequent visitors) it all adds up to a pretty lovely backdrop for a rural break. There’s a laidback atmosphere on site too, with kids, dogs and barbecues all welcome and simple facilities stretching to just toilets, showers and a washing-up area. There are picnic tables too, but the team on site also recommend a walk to the pub in Aldborough for a meal and a drink. The local town of Aylsham (10 minutes’ drive) has a good bakery and café, a butchers and various other indie shops. The team back at the farm have plenty of other shopping and eating recommendations as well. And they’ll also have plenty of suggestions for those of you that like to walk – perhaps starting with the walk from the farm to Blickling Estate along parts of Weavers Way before taking on sections of the coast path around Cromer or Cley next the Sea.

Power optional grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Lovely peaceful stay at this countryside retreat checking out the nesting buzzards & woodpeckers .
It's a layed back flat grass site with hot showers , toilets , pot washing & elsan point .
We were surrounded by campers in a mix of tents , campervans & caravans all chilling in the beautiful surroundings .
Great to hear little kids laughing & playing on tree stumps , it's a back to nature vibe ,
although the nearby Farm sells supplies & the pub is a 15 minute stroll so not totally self sufficient & cut off from the outside world 😉
Try it , & feel the stresses melt away 🙏

Disliked Where are the sink plugs ?? 😁 lol
